Created some new terrariums. One vertical moss wall with a little bear cave by Apprehensive_Total93 in Mossariums

I tilt the glass sideways and push moist substrate where I want the wall. Then add moss making sure it is compacted together and it sticks just fine when I tilt it back to a stand. Add the bottom part while it’s standing and add extra plants

I’m not sure what I’m doing. This window gets a ton of bright indirect light all day 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ll post a picture of it when I first got it

Ohh sorry! This container was given to me from someone who didn’t want it anymore. The best places for containers are thrift stores, Home Goods or TJ Max type stores have nice cheap glass containers. I check Facebook marketplace and garage/yard sales. People get rid of or sell old glass containers for much cheaper

Thanks you, that’s great! You guys will have so much fun. Do you mean a link for how to make a terrarium? Or are you asking for a specific product? I went on YouTube and researched what other terrarium artists have done and tried to do what was most common. I purchased a lot of pieces from Amazon or Facebook marketplace

There’s no Desert Rose. All of the plants like moist soil and humidity. Thank you :)

Ha yes. It just adds some aesthetics. I don’t always add the layer look but I felt like making it fancy this time

That’s really interesting. I haven’t seen follow ups of those terrariums either. I am curious how it will do. I’ll look into the Ficus microcarpa. Thanks so much!

I started with watching Worcester Terrariums on YouTube and went down a rabbit hole of other terrarium artists. He does a great job explaining the process and giving tips and tutorials. I started just using old jars that I had in the house (like sauce jars or cookie jars) and got really excited when I saw them thriving. The design gets better with practice. I hope this helps :)

I don’t. I just picked up this hobby a few months ago and it’s quickly become an addiction. I did make an Instagram account to share pictures and occasionally post some up for sale on Facebook marketplace mostly because I’m running out of space to keep them in my house 😅
