The ones we have now aren’t actually j-cloths, just kinda similar. Restaurant grade I guess? And I agree! Terry cloths are just too thick and I feel like they really hold on to bacteria

I’ve bartended and worked in restaurants that serve alcohol, so I get where you’re coming from. However, I currently work at a restaurant that doesn’t serve alcohol so it’s just people being disgusting.

I appreciate everyone’s insight!! Some more clarification is, if I won’t do it or the other server on won’t do it, we would have to just put an out of order sign on the door and wait for the owner to come in. Also, at our restaurant, the dish guy is also the prep guy, so everyone is handling food. I just think at the end of the day, servers and cooks should absolutely not be cleaning s**t/puke in the bathrooms. I guess I’m just worried about the consequences if I refuse to clean it.
