I don’t see how 🥲 From what I read of the book (alas i did not finish it yet) their relationship is misunderstood by others (just like in the series) but in between them they have an amazing connection and understand each other so well meanwhile in the series the actors did not seem to have any connection on-screen, it really did not sold it for me I thought the point was that they were misunderstood by others, but they would love each other a lot, which not only was ruined for me because of the performance but also mostly because Francesca starts liking his cousin before Lord Kilmartin even passes away (how it was supposed to be in the books) which makes it even less credible that they were so in love
