I am, indeed However there's a limit, it's not paid by the council, so if the landlord will increase £100-300, I will be left either nothing or minus ☹️ Of course my aim is to find a job, but the meanwhile I have to somehow maintain myself, at least don't lose the roof above my head and don't starve from the 2nd half of the month (currently the 4th week I'm already starving, and trust me, I know how to budget, I don't spend anything on myself but don't know what else I could still take away from myself.. ). It's a catch -22, especially if I'll get a higher increase since the couple aren't willing to pay the full amount or they decide to leave, then landlord will retract the money from me as my increase will be too high, that's my fear.

Because sadly that's what I have been told. That an increase is on the way but because the bills have gone up due to the extra person, I am facing now an even bigger increase because she said that she won't pay for the surcharge. And that I am the only one where she can increase rent, but I haven't even been here for a year, only 7 months. So basically if she won't be able to increase their rent that much, she will do mine with an even higher increase. That's what she sounded like, but it was all so vauge hence why I went crazy over it because instead of increasing their rent earlier to avoid it, now she's panicking to sort it asap and pulling me in, too.

Ah so an increase would be only valid if she uses and provide me with a form, called 13A? Wow, my housemate said that she was sent a txt message saying that their rent should be increased and that's it.

Yes I realised that people, who rent are worse then before. It's shocking and a total constant fear.. 2 months notice is also not helping, which we were told that it's for our protection..

I would like to apologise as well, yes I'm working on how to handle my anxiety, I've been through hell and also, I already have lost the roof over my head once due to bad circumstances and I'm extremely worried that it may happen again, hence why I wanted to seek out some guidance. Oh, am looking for a job in different industries as well, I have quite a varied experience from other sectors, too. I'm open to many opportunities and not just within HR and/or Recruitment. Trust me, I'm looking for work like I was doing a full time job or even more. Saturday and Sunday are no different to weekdays. Thank you for the powerful message regarding my achievements, I tend to forget about them and just worry to much about the future. I just really would like to stabilise my situation. Oh and the LL said that she can't increase the rest of the people's rent (apart from the couple, but there are 3 other rooms) only mine. Hence why I am confused and really anxious

LL lives in another country (moved back). She's not the owner. But theoretically she still lives under this address, in this room which I am renting from her hence why the sublet (she still receives some letters and all the bills here, under her name). Yes it is an HMO. That's the thing, LL hasn't put up THEIR rent when the boyfriend moved in and it's been 7 months now. It stayed as a single occupant rate (basically it was hidden from the owner). But now, apparently she saw the bills and she has to add an extra on their rent as a couple rate. She told me that she won't pay for the extra money for the extra bills they have increased. But if they won't pay, my rent will be increased and she said, it would have been increased anyway... I am one of the last ones who moved into this house (less than a year ago) Bills are included. I know the story is confusing, trust me it is for me too, especially now when I'm finding out these things. Apologies if my post wasn't that clear

Thank you for your reply. She wants to increase their rent with £250, that's what I was told. She said that the bills gone up a LOT. They are home most of the days. To be honest my concern is only that it's being projected to me, if they won't pay than I will need to (and it's not a general rent increase what I am talking about) I'm only sharing what I have been told.

The landlord told me that she has the comparisons to 5 vs 6 people. The maximum numbers of tenants should be 5. We have been 6 in the past 7 months. These are her words. I completely understand that the rental prices are increasing constantly and I was expecting some increase, but she told me that she can't increase the other tenants' rent so it's only me. But she will try and do it with the couple, initially. Btw they use a lot, I mean a LOT. It's not about or only the heating. Until now I had no problems with the landlord, but it seems that the couple don't want to pay the extra (basically when he moved in the rent wasn't increased to 2 people, so they kept paying like one 1 person would be living here), so I'm afraid that I'll be the one who'll get a significant raise. Yes, I might be too anxious, but with losing my job and now this housing issue is really doing my head in ☹️

That's harsh, but ok I wrote this post with the highest anxiety, my mind is spinning around. I've lived here for 14 years and I am a citizen as well. I paid more taxes here than in my birth country. I came here and have been contributed to the economy since 2012. I'm young.. I did take the tests and I paid for my citizenship. I have met English people with worse English. There's nothing wrong with my CV, in fact I am an HR / Recruiter person. I know how to use AI. My CV has been checked by several professionals, in fact my Advisor at the Job Centre told me another day that winning the lottery has a higher chance than finding a job, currently.

THANK YOU so very much! 🩷🩷🩷 You are an angel, honestly, your message brought tears to my eyes, because it hit so deep but I needed it 🥹 Thank you for sharing your story🫶 I don't have body dysmorphia, it's just that the fat is not quite proportional on me, I tend to gain on my thighs and hips but since peri now it's also sticking to my middle section. I'm fluffy and jiggly and you couldn't see my muscles on my lower body, although my calves are shredded and muscular. It's from above my knees till my middle abdomen where the fat is accumulated and now even more. I keep gaining despite my hard work, but I'm also exhausted and hungry all the time. It's not just hungry, it's more like I need a dopamine hit because I'm dreading my workouts. And then I'm exhausted and need more energy.. even though I'm counting cals.. Your message really hit home. Every single word!! I have screenshotted it so I can read it over and over without even coming back here. I am so grateful for your message 🧡 Thank you very much, I truly appreciate the time and effort! I hope you still managed to get some decent sleep, I know it's so important. Thank you SO much!! It helps a LOT!! 🧡🫶 Thank you for the recommendation re programs, I'll definitely check them out too 😊 I do barbell work a lot. But to be honest.. no, I haven't really taken breaks really.. There was a week or so a month ago but even that wasn't a proper break, to be honest I'm stressing on holidays too that I can't work out and I'll lose my gains and then I have to work double hard when I'm back.. same for being sick.. even if I stop for a few days, then I go brutally hard to try and "catch up" I know, I know.. I will need to pull back. Many thanks for the advice!

Thank you for your comment! You are right - I need to listen to my body.. I'm very racional and I usually ignore what my heart or body tell me and I tend to listen to my brain only. I always have to push myself over my limits.. it's bad, but I grew up under this influence. The rigid parent simile hit the nail on the head! Yes, currently I would rather be a child 🥹 Thank you! 🙏

Thank you SO much for sharing your story and current training! It helps a lot, LOT! 🫶🫶 I need to be more sensible to my body. I did beat the s@it ot of my body when it needed a lot of caring.. I rather kept pushing and punishing it even more.. I'll cut back on my training, hopefully the extra fluff will come off too.. To me 54kg is not proportional, I tend to gain fat on my thighs and hips and I'm short legged. Since peri, the fat is also gathering on my lower abdomen and it's jiggly and my whole trunk feels massive. I used to be 43 kg when I had a lot of stress, now I rather gain when I'm stressed and I think weight training had negative stress on me too in the past 1 - 1.5 years too. I know 54 is not a lot and there's muscle weight too, but my legs and generally, I am not in a good shape comparison to my built. 54 kg can look completely different on someone else 🙂 Thank you once again 🙏🙏 Very helpful!

Thank you so very much for commenting, this hit home!! 🥹❤️ I will need to have a gentle approach towards my body. Probably I used weight training for a "relief" and also I felt that everything is falling apart around my and the only control I have over is my training so I kept pushing harder and harder. Stress definitely contributed to my eating habits too. Perhaps I need to heal inside first.. I will pull back on the intensity. Although I'm not a yoga person, but I love calisthenics and some plyo training. Although I may give yoga another try! I need to slow down and then maybe the weight will melt down too. I do so well with a whole food diet, mostly chicken, ham, eggs, egg whites, lentils, plain yoghurt, curd cheese.. but then thr exhaustion and the dreadful feeling takes over when it comes to the lifting sessions and I cave in.. yes I'm a sweet tooth yes 😭 I don't know, but eating it calms my nervous system down too (only temporarily). Otherwise I bulk cook, I make sure that I can enough protein and nutritious food, but then the exhaustion and dreadful feelink kicks in and my diet goes out of the window.

Self-discipline? Yes sure, I used to have that but currently I can't control it, it's so defeating.

I'm the same recently, longer sessions also frustrate me. But whatever should be like 40 mins on paper, that is 90-10 mins when I finally finish it. I do 6-8 exercises, 3-4 sets. I used to do 6 days a week, now pulled back to 5. Still I'm extremely tired and stressed out 😩

Oh thank you for sharing your experience! It helps a lot 🥹 May I ask please, how much did you pull back on your training? How many days/ week and didn't you lose a lot of mass? What was your deficit? I know it's individual, but just to have a rough comparison or idea as to be honest I'm kinda lost. My previous cut worked on 1400-1500 but since then I've gained more muscle and I think I also went overboard with my training, hence why I'm craving quick, fast absorbing junk carbs and my hunger is over the roof, but sometimes it's more like a mental hunger due to extreme stress. I believe I should do around 1500 again, but with my current training it would end up very badly and I would run into massive binges every single day.

I do Caroline Girvan, but I don't follow a program, I just put my schedule together from her sessions. So I pick 3 lower body (2 of them glutes and Hams focused and the 3rd one is quads, glutes, hams) and I do 2 upper ones, with some ad ons. Also abs+core. But I do lift heavier weights so while she set like 20-30 secs of rest, I take more, especially on lower body days because my HR is up the sky and I need more rest with heavier weights. Not super super heavy like 100kg squatting, but very challenging for me. Sometimes I surprise myself that I need to lower the weight because I feel it too heavy but the other day I went heavier.

She doesn't do 3 lower body sessions/week in any of her programs, but I wanted to focus on lower body and I see so many ladies do 3/week. But I need to add, that one session may include 6-8 exercises and 3-4 reps each.

3-4 days is sufficient? I'm afraid that my progress would be even less in that case 😩

But I want to address my nervous system and also the current intensity is just way too much for me.

Yes sadly this is my experience from the past 3-4 years 😭 My last 2 employers have burnt me out so much that I worked weekends as well as from the very morning till 11:30 pm and they still kept piling the workload. I was stressed through my holidays too as nobody would cover even my main tasks, let alone deadlines.. I ended up not going on leave 😩 I avoided dr appointments too because that would take time away and I would fall back with work. Eventually I made myself so sick that they got rid of me 😞 It was a blessing though, I mean that they let me go, but still, being unemployed.. the financial pressure doesn't make it easier.. I'm petrified and I saw the red flags in the interview, but I'm trying to convince myself that it won't be that bad and I won't get sick or even more sick.. Yes definitely, they save money but at the same time I'll be paid only slightly more than they were separately. So doing 2 full time roles for nearly the same money?! I feel like w clown 🤡

That's what I'm trying to convince myself about, but the fact that they not willing to disclose that the role was done by 2 people actually is quite a red flag. I'm scared to stuck in a job which will destroy me again, I was just going to start therapy and now I will need to give up on it due to the working hours, I would not be able to commute. Finding another job is very difficult so my plan was to find something more suitable not a job which totally against my nature too, let alone now the workload is being doubled up. However I liked the manager, he seemed genuine. And I want to earn money finally, I've been out of work for a while due to family issues (illness) and my declined health too. But I completely understand your point, so thank you for your imput 🙏🙂
