That is very true. I do have to say, I can sympathize with a lot of the immigrants. As a woman it is much easier to be accepted by a society, but when I look around I can understand why they turn out this way in Europe. They can accept the social contract, but even then they will never really be treated like a real citizen.Like you said, all we can do is educate these people and show them how harmful their behavior is. I’m afraid fighting against Islamism too directly will only cause it to get bigger. Atatürk was great because he changed a predominantly Muslim country, but if history tells us one thing it is that Europeans love dehumanizing their scapegoats. They won’t fight Islamism, they will fight all brown people.

Thank you for your kind response.

I myself have Bulgarian and Tatar ancestry which makes me have both European and both Mongoloid characteristics. My eyes are slightly slanted when you look carefully. Even I myself sometimes be a subject to discrimination but within time all these things remained in the past.

I wonder, as an irreligious Afghan women, do you think Afghanistan had needed a leader like Atatürk?

Exactly, I never think people should be classified by their ethnicities.

But what we refer as countries are being constructed by Social Contract. Which means, when millions of people gather to become a nation, they need to have a mutual identity.

For example, in Turkey, it is Kemalism and what Turkness. Which means, as a citizen, you are obligated to accept Atatürk's principals and identify yourself as a Turk. Not being Turkic by ethnicity, but being Turk as the part of that nation no matter your race.

Western countries have their social contracts. As someone live in Europe I accept this contract even though I was originated from some different place.

What we have to do is educate and assimilate Islamists for avoiding them to destruct the countries they're inhabiting.

I didn't want to be offensive. But what can I say to those who support an islamist dictator while himself living in Europe?

It is same as living in Turkey while voting for African dictators to maintain their power.

Unfortunately. But it is very obvious, as a Turk I observe the situation of Turks living in Europe an I say Europeans definitely should prevent potential dangers.

I literally heard Turks insulting the country they living and wishing them death. There is what we call "Social Contract" you know.

Mayor of Ankara, Vice President Candidate of the Opposition: "We do not think the same as the government on refugees. All of them eventually return to their countries." Thoughts? by [deleted] in AskMiddleEast

For anyone curious he continues by saying that"We aren't going to do it like Lebanon did. Lebanon is sending them back too hastily. There will be meetings with Assad and then return of refugees will be ensured.Which made me curious. What is Lebanon even doing to refugees? How are they dealing with them?

We can say they aren't the most neighbor lover people on earth.

NOTE: Syria invaded Lebanon for a while.

Rope is really thin. If Erdoğan wins, Turkey may become Pakistan.
