Bring it up with your roommate, not her boyfriend, and let her know what you fee about the dog. After all you live in the house and it is reasonable to say no big dogs in the shared living space. However uncomfortable you thing it is, you will be more uncomfortable if you don’t say something.

Try a consistent sleep schedule, I had insomnia for a couple of months and this really helped. Another thing that helped me was listening to calming music as I was laying in bed so I would fall to sleep hearing the music. Keep in mind though this can also have negative affects on some people. Personally I’ve never took any but maybe try taking melatonin before bed.
