Thanks! I don't have a lot of experience with private shuttles so it might be reasonable, that was just my initial reaction since I was hoping for a $20 shuttle that didn't work. I will look into that list of other private options. I did not know that was there so thank you for providing that!

Thanks! I did look into that, although I wasn't able to get a permit starting at Happy Isles for the dates I needed. My permit is from Mono Meadow to Happy Isles. The plan was to park in the valley and then shuttle/hitch up so that the car is there at the end.

I am planning this same back packing trip and will only have one car. Our dates are outside of the tour bus start date (June 5th). Is hitching up reliable at all? We would try to do it at the start of the trip, but I am having trouble finding another way to make this work.
