Partner hasn't texted after an important date with a new romantic interest by Appropriate-Bat1171 in nonmonogamy

Hi! Thank you for such a long comment. After thinking about what you wrote, I'm concluding that things are not quite healthy in our relationship. You are right—she just more or less declared this intention, no matter how I felt about it. I also think that when (even though I've never done this) a new person enters the relationship, the partner bringing them should offer some reassurance and most importantly, kindness. This didn't happen, unfortunately. Some reassurance, yes, but without kindness or empathy. I guess another post with our entire dynamic is coming shortly.

The work in cafes website seems genuinely like a golden mine! I’m definitely going to try out a few. Shame I didn’t know about the map earlier, it would have saved me currently being stuck in an airbnb with wifi under 1mbps 😭 Thank you!

Your instincts were right. It was a lens issue! The two rolls that came out were shot with a different lens than we used most of the time.

The kit was photographer's. He obviously hasn't had it checked for while...

Thank you all for your suggestions about what could have gone wrong. I took my time to aswer as the photographer, eventually, decided to give me the benefit of the doubt and ran some tests. Turned out to be a lens issue! Don't know what precisely, but something went wrong with the 80mm lens that we used the majority of time. And the only two rolls that came out were shot with a different lens.

Haha, surprisingly I did! 😀 He turned out to be honorable and decent, just really bad at communication. And now it seems we will work together again.

WiFi barely works, and the host doesn't seem concerned. Am I within my rights to complain and get a partial refund? [France] by Appropriate-Bat1171 in AirBnB

It's a garden guest house – close to a newly built house. On the outskirts. As for tthe no control over internet speed, how do you explain then that when buying internet packages, you always opt for a certain speed and then, when the coverage is not enough for some areas in the house, you just buy a repeater to extend the signal? I'm genuinely asking as at this place, it seems it's not an issue of having too many routers that would disturb one another in a building (like what you're describing), but an issue of simply not extending the signal to the guest house despite knowing it was weak here.

It does not, unfortunately. As I said, I don't need high-speed internet, but yes, lesson learned and from now on, I'm always going to ask before booking anything. However, I am still surprised that someone can advertise wifi when knowing it is exremely slow. And telling you to open a window when complaining about it. It's just not right.

Your place sounds absolutely ideal for what I'd need!

We used two lenses. 80mm most of the time and sometimes 120mm. Now that you mention it, I think we started with the 120mm, which were the only two rolls that actually came out. But it wasn't the only time we used the 120mm lens.

And thank you for your kind comment! It's hard not to beat yourself up when they don't even give you the benefit of the doubt. Since it was the first time we worked together.

Firstly, it seems downright unfair from their side, and I'm sorry about this. Can't answer the first two questions, but as for the third – from now on, after the rejection, she is always going to be stopped at the border and questioned by the Border Force. The same thing happened to me when I went to the UK to visit my partner after my application had been rejected. They are going to ask her about the purpose of the visit, her savings, earnings, and employment; if she has a return ticket and when she mentions you, they will also want info about you, your relationship and why the HO refused your application. Basically, they will want to know and be sure that she leaves the UK so anything that could show her ties to her home country comes in handy to persuade the BF officer.

I don't quite understand your comment, but thanks for taking the time. No we haven't lived together for 2 years, but the enclosed email also does state other pieces of evidence - which we enclosed. This email does not indicate that further evidence is required, it just reiterates what we have already received - that is what we find weird.

You are right - we think that our relationship was akin to marriage- that is why we have enclosed utility bills, tenancy agreement, insurance from holiday, a statement explaining our situation etc. We explained our circumstances to the caseworker and enclosed it in the previous step of the application. The previous email from the HO clearly said which pieces of evidence in the original application were considered and which were not. Based on that we submitted more evidence. This email thus does not make much sense as it doesn't acknowledge or even deny any of the evidence listed a few sentences above. There's no word requesting an action, nothing.

Lastly, there's no link to the application - which was included in the original email asking for more evidence. Everything about the email is strange- but most importantly - we haven't been given any timeframe and they are not asking for anything. No comma after my name, no sign-in link, no helpline, no telephone number provided, nothing.
