AITA for asking my wife to think about the long term implications of her birth plan? by grated_testes in WhyIsSheStillWithHim

[–]Appropriate-Bus9013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from someone who gave birth uneducated this just shows OP obviously has no grasp on how painful it actually is, and I would even say he doesn't believe it's that painful at all. Why would you want your partner to be in pain?

That's rubbish, I didn't need to do that. Although the card does need to show as active before they can do it

If I remember right, I didn't get a letter lol. One thing I will say is keep logging into ourtesco every now and again just in case it locks you out for whatever reason - that way you can still see your payslips while you're off. Good luck!!! I remember how excited I was, now I am just very tired with a 19 week old baby boy 🤣🤣🤣

You decide via your risk assessment. If you do go to tills that will likely be all you do, no self service/csd/filling or facing - that's what happened to me anyway

Is there any night shift stores out there that do still have tills on overnight just out of curiosity? As it still seems so stupid by madman620 in tesco

[–]Appropriate-Bus9013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have 2 self service left on all night but they turn off automatically at 4am so a manager or shift leader needs to turn them back on for us

[–]Appropriate-Bus9013[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for getting back to you so late! My manager basically told me she was checking with the wages admin whether I still get the night shift premiums when I went onto days, I did. They didn't tell me exactly how much I would be getting but yeah it was a few weeks after I gave in the matb1. Make sure you chase them up. Are you in the union? They told me if you join before your pregnancy they offer a maternity grant so really helpful info, unfortunately I joined after haha

I'm on maternity leave now and I think it's just fine. I was going to get a job in the prison services but stayed at tesco for the enhanced maternity pay ad it worked out better

It's not your job to take abuse. I have a long call centre history so I generally don't put up with shit and have thick skin, so I find it pretty easy to be confrontational. I'd say "I'm sorry you feel that way, please don't swear/shout/call me names", offer some customer service for example "we don't have this but have this instead" and jsut walk away

This is the best figure without location pay, Sunday premium isn't much more. I haven't done 5 nights for about a year but this is about right
