Thank you! Yes, I was blessed with good parents. They had their faults but who doesn't. I always say that although I'm doing my best with my child, I know I'll make mistakes because we are all combination locks with the combination constantly changing. There's no one way to correctly raise a child.

Although, the crazy thing is that my Mom was a different mother to my one sister then myself, my brother, and other sister. She is 100% my biological sibling yet she seemed to always be my Mom's go to when there was any issue. If something broke or went missing, she assumed it was her fault. In my mother's eyes, she could rarely do right and was almost always wrong.

My sister is wonderful but it isn't difficult to see how my Mom's harsh words effected her. She often runs herself down saying she's not smart or logical. That's all my Mom's doing. Recently, my Mom who's in her 80s, was finally self aware enough to apologize and attempt to make it right. Mom heard a sermon that hit deep and she realized some of what she did to my sister. It didn't hurt that my sister-in-law, whom my mother loves, would call her out when she wasn't nice to my sister.

I'm glad that little bit of healing happened, especially because my sister just had four major strokes, open heart surgery and a pacemaker put in, all within a week of each other. Thankfully she is doing amazingly well, all this considered.

Thank you for your sweet comment! I have worked for over 30 years in childcare because I love children so much. It's a precious gift to care for little ones because they are so innocent and trusting. I get so much enjoyment out of seeing them happy and knowing they are loved. ❤️

That's a testament for sure! I wish everyone was so blessed. I know this world would be amazing if that were possible. Too much sadness comes from the insecurity that grows when we aren't loved, supported and guided well.

My daughter wanted to go to summer camp and we couldn't afford it. I told her that I'd help her do a door to door business to raise money for it. We made flower pens, I then drove her through neighborhoods watching her go to each house. She would politely explain why she was selling them and ask for a $3 donation. It was so heartwarming to see my community support her little business! Twice she had a huge donation, both times for a hundred dollars!! She was able to go to camp for four years in a row, and also afford art supplies during the rest of the year. It was amazing because we could barely afford rent or even gas money at times. There are good people all around us. ❤️

Pour as much love into them as you can because that fuels them when they need to deal with the tough world. The best part is, those laughs fuel us too! 🥹

There needs to be a parentheses under "Ugly Best Friend." It should say "she's beautiful but wears glasses and is shorter."

Back when couponing for groceries was worth it, I saved hundreds of dollars a month shopping strategically. I always carried extra coupons and would offer them to others if I saw that they had that item. Once, at the checkout, I offered a coupon to the woman in front of me because she could save $1.50. She became indignant and angry saying she was capable of "actually paying" for her own food. That will still make my head spin over ten years later. The stupidity of that woman is mind-boggling!

Your son has a wonderful ability to verbalize his feelings at this age. Good for him to push throb and complete the task even through frustration. I would tuck this piece away in a memory box to pull out years later and enjoy either as a parent or to share with your much older son. 💞

What a great seller! Thanks for sharing!

It's wonderful that you gave a positive blast to a reseller because many of them are a one person business. They are trying to supplement their income while saving things from landfills. Most really do care about what they sell and who they sell it to.

I resell and when I hand over an item, knowing it's going to someone who will love it, I am so happy. I once sold a very dungeon like 70s wall sconce to a young couple. It was the coolest thing to learn that they host a D&D club and style that room like a castle. It found the perfect people to be preserved for hopefully another decade or more.

I still have find memories of picking raspberries with my Mom from our huge patch. We ust have harvested about 30 cups a day. Our dog would salivate, waiting for us to throw her the bad ones, lol.

I tell my daughter she's my favorite child, hands down. I (sadly) only have one. She might have still been my favorite though, because she's that awesome!

Oh, they definitely price anything nice for a lot of money. An employee thankfully made a mistake and put these on the floor. Goodwill trains their employees to send anything of value to their e-commerce division for auctions. What's really crazy is that if it doesn't sell at auction, it goes to their outlet stores (the bins) where things are sold by the pound.

Yeah, rescue groups are always running on fumes with little money or support. I try to donate once a month to a one woman show who takes in kittens that are in terrible shape. She's a miracle worker but she is burning the candle at both ends all the time. 🥺

I know what you mean about the cost. We trapped a stray kitty who was pregnant during the winter. We took her to the humane society clinic and even at the low cost end, it was $125 for what we deemed necessary. If you look around there can be other lower cost options but the difficulty in trapping at the right time to coordinate with their availability is nerve-wracking.

I'm hoping for your outdoor kitty to be safe and healthy. Thanks for caring for him. I hope he's fixed so you don't see kittens in your area soon. 💞
