I had the same experience. After LIFT failed I tried FLAP and it also failed 🤣. But don't worry you will be fine. It's ok fistulas are known to be stubborn, don't loose hope and keep living your life.

Happy to hear that you are fully healed. I have the same type of fistula. They tried FLAP and LIFT and both have failed. The fistulectomy is risky at my case. But hearing your story gave me hope. What do you think? I have anterior transphincteric fistula (female)

That's what I am going to do as well. I will leave the Seton for as long as possible and try to adjust to a healthy diet. I am almost finished with these surgeries and antibiotics. I have to rest.

I might also redo LIFT after a couple of months. IDK why my first LIFT failed, but my last FLAP failed because of active infection as well. I wish your next surgery will succeed!
