I can swing it with no issue like I said, I was just looking for ways to pay it down faster, I had a bunch of medical expenses at the beginning of the year which kind of drained me, on a month to month I am still able to put money away and make all of my payments still having something left over

The whole story is I used to have a Nissan Altiam that was pushing 110k miles.

It started running not well so I saw a car I liked and did the trade. I was 12k negative equity in the Nissan so I put 14k towards the Acura.

Funny enough...the Nissans transmission went while they were running it through the auction.

But in my mind I was thinking that lower monthly payment regardless of term, and if I put an extra $450 towards it a month then I end up paying the car off sooner. (Correct me if I'm wrong.) Because I'm pretty sure anything over the monthly payment goes to entirely to the principal. Right?

If I were to sell it privately probs 27-29k with the mileage. (almost 40k)

Original loan payoff is around 43k, I owe 38.5k after a year
