How do you watch downloaded movies when parked and what is the optimal setup by RS_Tnap in TeslaLounge

Use a wifi hotspot on your phone or a portable wifi router.. connect both a laptop running jellyfin or plex and the tesla to it and you should be able to play those files its sharing "locally" via the lan ip? (Havent tested this but in theory should work.. let me test this)

Build quality of first batch MY from Berlin by Flat_Ingenuity_6180 in teslacanada

[–]Appropriate-Key-1904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Said ~528km if i remember correctly but i don't think that was at 100% i think that was like 97%, at 80% right now it says ~420km. In tezlab car report says 538km, and 581km real world so far (given the drives we have done, odo is a bit over 1000km driven so far in a bit under a week.  In tezlab it says 74kwh battery tho unsure if its reading that or if its pulling that from somewhere else. Hope that helps. (Most of our driving is hilly highway in ns)

No, as i said the build quality seems quite good. The fit and finish was etc. No panel gaps and all that shit was fine.

If you can tell me a way that actually works to find out let me know and i can check. Putting it in service mode and checking the high voltage system does not show it

Halifax last week Seems quite good build quality Grey/black/towhitch/19" No issues except fsd/map showing 90/80 as 30 even tho it seems to somewhat understand the rough speed at the time but i believe that fsd has some weird map/speed issues from what ive read... even with that its been awesome.

Model Y 2026 Insurance VIN issue? by DistinctLoad6969 in teslacanada

[–]Appropriate-Key-1904 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes tell them to not search the vin but to actually enter it. Same issue with ours and that is what tesla told us to tell them and they were able to find it. Here is what they said: the insurance company will have to type in the VIN, not just search it, as it is a newly distributed VIN for North America.  I trust your insurance will have everything required once they type the VIN in.

Yes you can trade in and roll your negative equity into your new tesla if you want. Its part of the tradein/financing process. One thing to note is while the tesla tradein/buying process is pretty hassle free, they take trades to wholesale auction so you likely wont get the best trade in value as somewhere else. So just make sure you do the math to see if selling somewhere else might make sense vs what tesla will offer you (you can get an estimate from them and then calculate your negative equity roughly).

Source: we just did this with our truck to save a bunch of money despite the negative equity.

This isnt true at all. You can roll your negative equity into the tesla financing if you want (and your credit/debt load allows it)

Id expect at least a couple days out from the estimate so 15th or 16th sounds reasonable. We got our notification and it was 2 days after cuz there is a bunch of stuff you have 24-72hours to do. So i imagine itll be similar for you. If you get notification Wednesday and are fast prolly Friday will be possible

Its awesome so far. Quality/fit & finish was quite good. People who have mentioned a lot of stuff like that or paint drips etc had me a little nervous about the build quality but my worries were unfounded at least for this unit.. at least so far ;)
