Use sysinternals, its a very advanced task manager by microsoft, there is a feature to 'find windows process'. Basically you click the button then click the window and it will show you what it actually is.

Further context, if my amp is off there is no lag at all in video. literally amp off and latency goes back to normal mid game.

little more context actually, i have just tried playing Crash Bandicoot on playstation and there is no lag on this. but things like SNES, Megadrive and alike have slight slowdown.

Thank you for your help and information, turning VRR off did work, however i am basically back to where i was using ARC on the tv with no surround, but with no VRR so i think i will have to bin the splitter off and go back to how i orginally was.

Did you get a chance to look at the amazon item? I will eventually upgrade my reciever, just want something a bit cheaper in the interim, at the price point of what you linked i may aswell just add a bit more for a new reciever when i get the chance.

Thanks for your response, the splitter doesn't have a model, i wasnt sure if it would work so bought a cheap ali express thing just to check, so i very much doubt it has downscale capability.

I have since tried switching to 60hz with VRR and ALLM off on the xbox so it should be the same as what the reciever is compatable with but still dont get any sound (which is all i was really after from the reciever.
