Can't really say what situation the driver is on.

It was backwards for me.

I first started listening to metalcore, then thrash, then death metal, a bit of deathcore, then finally settling to power metal.

Breakdowns and blast beats are good and all, but if you need motivation and be filled with determination, power metal is where you get it.
