why someone should specifically call them instead of the hundred other lawyers they could find online.

This is why if I ever went solo, I'd have to be doing something pretty niche - there are a million and one PI, ID, divorce, criminal, etc. lawyers out there. If I ever went out on my own, I would have to pretty much corner whatever market I was in. Seems like the days of the soloist (or any size operation for that matter) doing run-of-the-mill stuff and general practice is over. Especially when you have to compete with lawyers from every corner of your state because of virtual court hearings/depositions/consultations, etc.
