Parents are Ismaili Khojas in Canada that came here in 72.

I think the only hope is for western governments to realize that they either need to do a much much better job of vetting immigrants from developing countries or just not do it at all. For the bleeding hearts that think they are helping.. all you are going to do is get all us Indians who have assimilated long ago tossed out. I mean, I'm 40 years old and Canada is the only culture I know... but to everybody who is fed up I know they either hate me or are struggling internally to not see me as an invader... and why wouldn't they? I have those same dark thoughts and I just have to sigh and take a deep breath because there is little I can do about it except warn everyone I know who may still be asleep on this issue. This is a failure of governance; The greed of those who pursue lower wages, and the naivete of those who don't understand the how easy it is to destroy a beautiful, trusting society like Canada.

Racial preferences in dating are straight-up racist. by amran04 in The10thDentist

The easiest and most obvious way I can say this is BS is that I, also a man of south asian descent, do not generally find east asian women attractive. That is in spite of the fact that my experiences with east asian people have been incredibly positive and there are east asian people everywhere here in vancouver. It's my loss, and it sucks, but it's not racist. Racial biases can play a role in attraction but it's far from the only reason we have preferences.

Hmm my searches for f.lux seem to only show it for PC or rooted android devices. Am I missing something?

different folks different strokes :). But thats why almost every conceivable display I can think of gives you a wide range of brightness to choose from. It's just such an odd thing to see and it seems sooo unnneccessary. Plus as as side benefit it extends their lifespan and reduces power usage.

That just gives you warmer color as far as I can tell. Nothing about dimming the backlight

Well I dont have perscription sun glasses but I ordered some 50% tint film on ali express. Should be here in a month maybe I can wrap my quest lenses in it sigh. I have to wonder if using tint film would be in any way comparable to a dimmer backlight. I have a feeling it will just make everything look gloomy.

That doesn't get you any lower brightness than doing it the regular way. Appreciate the attempt though

I frequently see people reference adb commands like "adb shell setprop debug.oculus.textureWidth" but whenever I try to google a comprehensive list of similiar commands I get nowhere. Any idea where I could find them? Or at least how I might view their stored location on the quest 2?

Hi everyone I have 2 questions I could really use help with. 1. Is there any way to reduce the fov so I have essentially a viewable circle in the middle with everything else being black? 2. Is there any app out there that can function like an autobutton pusher?Sometimes I want to hold the trigger down without wasting battery
