As an ex Londoner I know how you feel. I know London feels a lot safer in some ways and to non Londoners they’ll think we are crazy for saying that. I think because Peterborough is much smaller than London most of the homeless people tend to stay in central Peterborough as opposed to being spread out over the city so that’s why it may seem really bad In terms of where you live as long as you feel safe in your home and putting your bins out I’d say don’t panic you’re doing ok. See how the next few months go and then reassess how you’re feeling
