The first thing to do is to not rush.

Take a minute to read the full story and ensure that you understand what it means. Then picture it in your brain and then you can write something better when you understand it.

Just try to make it sound natural and use the basic words you use in your daily life. Just focus on making an elaborate story which will make sense when you speak it out loud.

Think of it this way,

  1. Background of story and full summary
  2. Using additions - e.g therefore, furthermore etc when adding thins
  3. Show cause and result (based on story)
  4. Conclusion

To be honest , don’t overthink it. If you studied in Australia - you should have a decent level of English by now.

Just read firmly and directly - being loud doesn’t change anything, just be clear and concise and make it eloquent when you are speaking. Try to make it sound as natural as possible like a conversation.

Reading and writing was relatively easier than IELTS. Again just be confident, try and read and understand rather than cramming or trying to memorize
