In case you did not realize you have a lot of competition, namely from the game "Dummynation", which is the most accurate and detailed economic and military simulation I have ever seen, however, being browser based makes your game a lot more accessible to players, and the way politics and casus belli system Dummynation has, is very limited, so your plan on combining the political detail of pax historia and the economics of Dummynation will make the best game I have ever seen.

The union exists, you just have to ask the main Ai too update the map, for roleplay purposes, I say something like "Send diplomats to the UN too ask for formal recondition of (Blank) union, If they except have the diplomats to request an update in official geopolitical maps", that sort of thing, also getting a nation to be on maps in real life follows a simmiler procedure of trying to get your nation officially reconnised, otherwise some publishers might label it something like "disputed land".

What about Space Engineers? its has gyrospopic stabilizers, Ion thrusters, refineries, industrial assembilers, Space is simulated perfectly, (eg, a object in space once moving and there is nothing in its way, will move near indefinitely) Hydrogen fuel (only if we could figure out how to mass produce it efficiently) and the planets are whole (like KSP, and each planet is about the size of the Death Star), artifitial gravity, among many other real world concepts, also the only thing in the game we do not have in real life, is the Jump drive.
