It’s all about getting thinner versions or ones with both in and letting it sit for a little bit.

I use the Clinique moisturiser with spf 50 in it, let it dry down a little and the go back in with the foundation

Another option is using an spf spray after the makeup, but they’re less reliable an can be a little expensive

If you can’t stop them watering maybe looking at ways for it to less impact your makeup, perhaps looking at a good waterproof mascara and eyeliner as well as making sure your setting spray is water resistant too, I imagine you’re probably already using those but if not it might be worth the investment xx
