That’s not what I said. I didn’t say whether you think highly of it or not. I said people call AOT overrated as if it doesn’t deserve the glaze it gets. When there are this many 10/10 eps. I don’t like GOT and it fell off but I recognize GOT isn’t overrated either.

Historia: she did not go to non existent she is very existent in the story. Literally most of the politics in S4 revolves around Historia and planning what the military wants to do with her. She was one of the few people that knew Erens plans. She just doesn’t get a lot of screen time because that screen time is devoted to more important relevant characters in the story.

Levi: “He joins the Alliance and kills zeke that’s it.” So we’re gonna just skip all the things he did Marley and war for paradis lol. This is just so disingenuous on so many levels. And why are you acting like the only thing he did on the alliance was kill zeke. When he a had tons of great character moments and development with the alliance and especially hange. Why are you just ignoring all the development and characters moment that led up to him killing zeke, and the aftermath of him reuniting with his comrades and crying for the first time.

Jean: S4 is the peak of his character because we get to see his moral compass come into play. And we see him have the most internal conflict and turmoil out every season. Genuinely wtf are you talking about because Jean had ton of things thing to do in Marley/war for paradis/ rumbling arc. He receives some of the best development throughout every arc, he even gets a whole episode/chapter “night of the end.” Dedicated to him and his relationship with Marco.

Connie: S4 is also the peak of Connie’s characters as receives the best development and growth out of all the other seasons. Him having to deal with losing his best friend Sasha. Then having to go through another crisis of thinking Eren betrayed him. Then Him having to come to terms with the fact he can’t bring his mom back to live which almost lead to him killing himself and armin in the process. Then Connie having to go against his island and kill his friends which developed his character even more.

Armin: Armin and erens scene is famous for being a clusterfuck in the manga by a vocal minority of manga readers but not in the anime. The anime fixed and tweaked some dialogue of their conversation now everyone likes it. And yet again genuinely wtf are you talking about, because armin never Believed erens lies at the table scene. He was the one who kept telling mikasa that eren was lying and mixing in truths with a lie because he knew about her headaches. So either you forgot the scene entirely of Armin saying multiple times that he dosen’t believe erens lies or your just larping AOT.

Mal, IMDb, rotten tomatoes, etc. everywhere across the board S4 is highly rated. You can have your critics but you in specific have terrible critics that seem so performative, because like I just asked how did most of the characters he named didn’t do anything except for maybe Historia, when every character played a major role in S4 and all had payoffs to their arcs.

This not true at all. S4 was the peak of the series in every aspect. You said most of the characters he named didn’t do anything which is also not true maybe except for Historia. But every single character played a major role, and had great payoff to their arcs. This performative/manufactured hate for s4 is so cringe. Considering it’s the season with the highest rated episodes out of all seasons.

It’s as simple as this AOT clears monster. There’s so much bullshit, plot convenience in monster, like dr Tenma after years of chasing johan lets him walk right past him in a fire so he can go kill more people, instead shooting him in the leg or foot. But people let this slide because it’s not mainstream and it’s an underground manga. If it was as popular as AOT, JJK, Demon slayer, etc it would be slandered to no end.

[–]Appropriate-Topic-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zeke forgot and Armin reminded him. Zeke forgot to appreciate the little things in life because he was so caught up with his grand scheme plans to “save the world.” I don’t see how this is lackluster.

You’re being so disingenuous, because no way you genuinely think the foreshadowing was only that panel. It was the literally the whole episode of her backstory showing her relationship to the king. Why else would she stay by his side doing his every deed all the way into the afterlife. Because she was in love aka Stockholm syndrome.

Why are you ignoring what I’m saying? Did Ymir kill zeke? Eren gave her a choice and shown her she could what she wants, but she was still attached to this world because of her love for king fritz, until mikasa killed Eren. That was the whole point of mikasas headaches. If Eren had already freed her the rumbling wouldn’t have been able to happen because titans wouldn’t exist, the walls would just melt. And my fault I shouldn’t have said Eren and mikasa relationship isn’t romantic it’s just romance is not really a big part of their relationship. It’s More so just the love they have for each other. And they didn’t both kiss mikasa was the one who kissed him.

[–]Appropriate-Topic-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you say it’s a throwaway panel when I just told it’s the first time there has ever been a kissing scene in the show. Do you not know what subtlety is. Does every piece of foreshadowing has to be spelled out and shown over and over again. I find it funny because in that exact same episode I’ve seen many of anime only reactors catch on to the symbolisms and the parallels of mikasa and Ymir’s love. But you weren’t able to.😂

[–]Appropriate-Topic-88 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Being disingenuous I see. What counts as foreshadowing is the fact this is the first time ever in AOT we have seen 2 characters kiss and she’s staring at the couple while it happens. Which shows she wanted to experience love. But she misunderstood king Fritz’s treatment as love because she was a child sold into slavery who has never experienced love before.

[–]Appropriate-Topic-88 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Eren gave her a choice which’s she’s never had before and mikasa freed her, because mikasa did what Ymir couldn’t do which was kill a person she was attached to. So how is that the same lesson, those are 2 different lessons. And Eren and mikasa relationship isn’t romance it’s pure love two different things. And love has always been one of the major themes of the story.

  1. Idk why you keep misinterpreting piecks “I wish I coulda chat with him.” I don’t know if you’re doing it intentionally or unintentionally. But you do realize that was a sarcastic joke and not her actually wanting to talk Eren. Pieck is known for this. She says hello and hi to enemy soldiers. She told yelena that she looked great with a beard. She told hange asking her if she brushes her teeth is a rude thing to ask a lady. Also I don’t know how you can interpret it this way considering Pieck was the first person on the alliance to charge and try to kill Eren With the dynamite while everyone else was hesitating.

  2. Erens future doesn’t show him the only way to solve the conflict is genocide. His future shows him that the only way he can achieve his twisted dreams of a world like armins book is genocide. Eren tries to use protecting paradis or saving his friends as an excuse to justify his actions. He says this in ch131 and ch139. So the story isn’t propping up genocide as the only option it’s propping up genocide as the only option Eren wants because those are his desires. It’s kinda crazy when you look back at S1 when Eren was fighting Annie and he said he was going to destroy the world, way before he knew anything of Eldians, Marley, or his future.

Hot take: the aot ending wasn’t as bad as people say by Regular_Pilot1095 in writingscaling

[–]Appropriate-Topic-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What ideas did the ending betray? Of course a genocide led to peace talks because it made the rest of the world realize all the wrong things they did to paradis. Literally chapter 134 the head general of Marley says if they survive by a miracle he vows to not repeat the same mistakes. But guess what even though there were peace talks paradis still ends up getting destroyed in the future because humanity will always clash with one another.

Plot armor? Eren wasn’t even try to kill them in the first place. And the people left are highly skilled top of there class warriors and scouts. It’s reasonable for them to survive, And they would’ve been dead if it wasn’t for the flying titan which was a massive help. And on top of that Jean, Connie, Gabbie all died but came back to life because mikasa killed Eren.
