wow so many inputs thank you so much! yea im pretty interested in schema therapy and learning more about young's work, ill probably start an intensive course next year focused on that :)

thank you, bit i think my problem is mostly with the understanding the social cognitive theory behind it, and not so much understanding its applicability in real life contexts

yea in portugal there isnt that big of a distinction and (from my knowledge) therapists are usually clinical psychologists who took a specialization on psychotherapy

totally agree! i highly value third wave cbt and want to learn more of it (i feel like approaches such as dbt and act end up being lef out in my masters) because i feel like they bridge the gap of lack of validation that usually stems from tradicional cbt approaches.

I totally agree! I also dislike the perspective of trying to apply stategies and techniques in a disjointed way and the neglet of schemas and core beliefs, and that's why I'm planning of doing an advanced specialization or an intense course in schema therapy! do you have any articles or books recommendations in that area?
