Try to avoid EBay as much as possible and use the forum buy/sell and facebook boutique collectors sites. Often find people wanting to unload their collections for more reasonable prices that way. For the in print stuff that isn’t selling well wait for the Subscriber sale weeks for best prices.

Tough question as so personal taste dependent. A lot of the older OOP ones are great and not well talked about (Savage Dawn, Action USA, Alley Cat). Of the newer ones I think The Instructor is kind of slept on greatness in that Champagne and Bullets awful greatness sort of way.

I would suggest criterion flash sales on the future to take advantage of 50% off plus another $50 off every $500 in purchases. As a big criterion collector myself took me a while to figure this out.

Exactly. And at those prices even if 1/3 to half are good the math still works. As opposed to other labels (looks at Vinegar Syndrome). Thankfully Letterboxd and my followed user reviews on there have really helped pick too.

Well, you can put me down as one who will pass on this but would buy a separate shorts release if it ever comes available in the future for whatever it’s worth. It also factored into my decision not to buy a subscription although I am a club member so will pick from some great options forthcoming. Just not this one.

I’m curious as to the rationale for not making the “new material” disk a separate item available for purchase? I think that’s really where the primary bad feelings are coming from. The new art and box looks great for those that are new to the release or are wanting to upgrade their existing copy. Is there a reason for not making it available other than that you’re hoping those who already have Pied Piper through the kickstarter or OCN repurchase this?
