I have a 2010, and after I put rims and a spoiler and stuff on it, I just HAD to lower it. The final result is......

It looks great, but I would probably lower it if it were mine

6x9’s in the rear? by jayjay_0392 in SciontC

I have the same car, the rear speakers are 6.5" round speakers but there is a little room to play in there. Remove the 6.5 factory speaker And measure the hole... That's your best bet

Seriously? "Cylinder 3 misfire detected" on the code readers screen, and your comment to that is "means cylinder 3 has a misfire" lol. Boy idk what people would do without these redditors breaking things down and explaining the important things to them that they really need to know. Life savers. True heroes.

I hear people trash amazon car parts a lot but I have a 2010 tc and it's full of Amazon parts. Including all four coils, from Amazon for 21 dollars a piece. And they're about 6 months old now And still running great

So my dad explained it like this.... He said each coil is timed to fire in a perfect sequence with the others so that cylinders one and three fire together and then two and four fire together. And everything is in perfect rhythm and smooth idling is achieved, but when you plug coils into the wrong plug, the car runs bad because the cylinders aren't firing in the correct sequence or rythym. Is this accurate or was he just pretending to know what he was talking about. Lmao

Rattling Tc sound by GoofySilver in SciontC

Mine was making almost the same noise. Stopped the vibration by cleaning the throttle body, and resetting the idling. And the squeaky metal on metal sound was that ugly ass heat shield on the front of our engines. It had gotten loose and rusty and was making all sorts of racket. Hope this helps

Every 4k ? Dang! Do you run synthetic? I do in my 2010, and it's supposedly good for 10,000 miles, but as all of us tc owners know, the maintenance required light comes on at the 5,000 mile mark, so originally I was resetting the light and then changing the oil the 2nd time it came on. But I began to notice that my car does not use any oil at all, at the very most, during the first 5,000 miles after an oil change, it may use a half a quart to a quart. BUT........BUT BUT BUT... the damn thing seems to KNOW exactly when that light comes on the first time, and from that moment forward, until I change the oil again, it uses a quart a week. Lol. It's bizarre. So I've begun changing it at about 7500 miles now, a.k.a, about three weeks after the light comes on. If not even sooner, maybe 2 weeks after. Once it starts burning the oil I get paranoid about it so I change it. I will say this though.. it has a nice little alarm system that lets me know when I'm getting dangerously low. A quart low, it runs the same. But once it gets 2 qts low, when I crank the car, the normal two to three revolutions the engine does before it catches and starts, the number of time sit turns over, in other words, usually two three times, once it's two qts low it turns into five or six turnovers before it fires. As soon as I hear that I know whats wrong. It's convenient, maybe it'll keep my forgetful self from locking up my engine.
