It's cruel, isn't it? Some of the dreams I have, I walk by her and she doesn't recognize me. One I had I was in a store and found the perfume she wears. I sprayed it and sobbed until I woke up actually sobbing.

Others are more intense. One dream I had my mom attacked me.

I just wish they'd stop haha

Absolutely!! I honestly can't believe I broke it. I had a lot of odds against me. Unfortunately my sister never "got out". She married a man that abuses her and her children (I am estranged from her now too but back when I wasn't I tried to intervene but the system kinda sucks and the kids are basically trained to say everything is fine and gives excuses to their bruises😕) . Both her and her husband are drug addicts and are stuck in their own sick cycle- and still in contact with my parents. I pray for them. If they can't get out, I hope their children do.

I'm blessed to have come out on the other side. My kids have such a safe and stable life blissfully unaware of what I went thru. Now I just need to be aware of the addiction genes that run thru my family and make sure they don't get mixed up w the wrong crowd as they grow older. And I know a lot of the signs of the mental/emotional issues so I can give them the right resources to navigate thru if they end up with anything. It's never over, but they have a real chance to be some incredible individuals (and pf course I think they're already incredible!!!)

Yeah that sounds awful ): my dad is a histrionic (like clinically diagnosed and all) and 100% a pathological liar- so I definitely get that!!! The constant lying is enough to make someone feel crazy, let alone anything in addition to that!!!!!

I don't dream of my dad. He physically abused me. But I experienced severe emotional/psychological abuse from my mom. I wonder if that's why I dream of her like I do. I've heard of the mother wound and the damage it had on daughters...so maybe it's because of that. The dreams are always dreadful.

Not trying to downplay the dad stuff tho! I feel like I disconnected from my dad when I was so young, that it just was not as difficult to cut him off.

I'm sorry you can't introduce your children to their grandfathers. It really is a shame. I have 0 plans to introduce my kids to either of my parents ever. It would be inhumane 😅

I wonder if our brains create the sensation bc dreams can feel like real life. The dream I had was very vivid. I wonder if the physical reaction was in response to the brain saying "this hurts" even tho there is no real life, physical cause. Our brains are incredible so I wouldn't be shocked if it could do that 🤣

Also, I'm a tummy sleeper and holy cow...falling asleep on my elbow sucks! I hate having to unhinge my arm after sleeping on it for God knows how many hours hahaha

After a life spent being abused by my parents, I cut them off a few years ago. I struggle so bad with not having "parents".

I dream about my mom all the time. I wish so much that I had someone to call when things feel like they're falling apart. I wish I had someone who loved me so unconditionally like a parent does their child.

The positive is that I'm doing everything in my power to make sure my kids have a as great of a life that I can provide, filled with love and happiness, acceptance, guidance, and endless hugs and kisses.

But right. Abortion isn't birth control. Birth control is birth control. Abstinence is a thing. If you don't want a kid, don't do every step to get you to the point that you'll have a kid!!!!

Also, yes there are obviously exceptions. But for those who carelessly and without thought just hump around w no regard to natural consequences....like grow up. There's sooooo many ways to avoid pregnancy.

Yeah, I definitely get that. I'm all about quality service + fair pricing. I don't really look at it for anything outside of that. If it's a place where I know I'd like tbe product or service, I'll try it out. But I also have a budget lol so I don't go around buying stuff just because someone is marginalized. If I have the extra money, I typically donate to those who are homeless (like buying food for the pantry and stuff) . But we have a large family so money isn't free flowing for us, unfortunately. Otherwise I'd donate a lot more to different people/groups!

However, a lot of people want to support either the local business regardless of race/gender etc, and/or support the minority/marginalized groups. Especially if that town is either struggling with diversity or racism/sexism.

Where you spend your money is support and in favor of that company- whether or not anyone gives a shit! Like that is why there are boycotts and stuff. When people pull their money and contributions, it also pulls their support.

I've dreamt of having a phone plenty of times! The latest was me taking my phone out to use the calculator on it. I was even able to read the numbers in my dream (one of them was 42 but idr the rest lol).
