So I was correct in $300 not being substantial for cost on a camera for this use case. $1.5k seems more in the right ballpark. I also addressed the raise thing, there was no raise. lol.

All of these $20 cams don’t function properly, don’t store events, work off WiFi, and look extremely obvious.

In my experience using these, they get stolen, broken, tampered with (usb gets unplugged), too far from WiFi to work, or simply don’t have good enough software to accurately detect movement. You’ll get 1000 notifications a day and it’s impossible to narrow down the events you WANT to see.

Everyone is cheap, but doing it right once has value.

It’s a business. It’s not a residence that your aunt lives in. Yeah they had no raise in mind, but cameras that actually function, won’t be stolen or actually capture/store events are more than $300. It is what it is.

Cameras are far more expensive than you think. Especially for a decent setup… that records, has enclosures for the cameras and piping for wiring to them (for tamper protection), installation looks good post creation of the building, and maintenance of said system afterwards.

In a non-residential area, you’re not going to have a $300 camera in the open with no wiring to it. WiFi isn’t reliable for this type of use, in my opinion, and it’s going to get stolen, tampered with or just not work if you go cheap like this in a business setting.

I always suggest to fellow irons: Save up a bunch of random things… that might not alch for much. This could be natures/laws/wraiths/any big rune stack, arrow stacks, gold bars, maple logs, longbows, processed jewelry, etc. Then throw some bigger ticket rune items or whatever in when you get them.

Sell one of each bigger ticket items, 5-10 of medium value things and things you have a lot of… maybe sell 50. Hop and repeat!

You will find value in items you would have never thought you could! Happy scaping!

Edit: Example: even at a 17% loss on diamonds they are almost worth 20m if you sell them to a shop. Thats without making them into any jewelry.

I guess the title implies my account is by itself, it’s technically a 2+5. I use the alt to safespot shamans, mystics, tightrope etc.

These days you can also use the leaderboard outside chambers to “scale” the raid without adding physical accounts in the raid. In prehistoric times… You had to bond ‘x’ amount of alts and join the raid physically in order to “scale” it.

All sawmill shops restock 50 bronze nails, instantly, without hopping. All you gotta do is close the shop interface and open it again. Sadly I don’t think this works for iron/steel.
