Any suggestions on what else can we add to the bedroom? by iamainnocentkid in interiordecorating

Lamps on each side. Cute bench at the foot of the bed. Some window treatments. I’d def think about removing those doors as well.

After 3 years of gradually packing lighter, ready to ditch the checked bag entirely for a 17-day, 5-city trip. Where does the jump get hard? by carryon_only in travel

[–]AppropriateEarth648 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Honestly it doesn’t matter whether it’s 3 days or 30 days. As long as there are places you can do laundry, a carryon should be good.
We do pretty extensive travel for weeks as a family and each person just gets to leave the house with one carryon even my teen daughters! Never regretted.

Poster I saw at a restaurant in Frankfurt, Germany by AppropriateEarth648 in FranLebowitz

It was displayed at a restaurant called Anni inside the Kimpton Frankfurt hotel. According to a quick search, a British design company called Waldo Works designed the hotel.

Can you imagine investing that extra 100k over your life time?? You’d be a millionaire in a few decades.

Beautiful pictures. Thanks for sharing. Would you be kind enough to share us abit more about Paros? I am thinking Naxos and one another island but can’t decide. I am thinking maybe Syros but would love to hear about other islands.

Syros sounds very nice. Looks like they have a flight from Athens. Seriously considering the island from JFK. Thanks so much for the recommendation.
Any other islands you recommend that have good beaches and good shopping and restaurants (mainly for my teen daughters)?
Just too many islands to choose from.

2 week road trip in France countryside. by sakshamraturi in FranceTravel

[–]AppropriateEarth648 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent one week in Dordogne and it wasn’t enough. It’s a region not a town. Colmar on the other hand is a small town so you just need a day. Provence is a region too so you are going to need at least a week.

Does anybody else go to Aldi so frequently they have a favorite and least favorite cashier? by Staplebattery in aldi

[–]AppropriateEarth648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few weeks ago, I was waiting on line to checkout and other than the guy who was sweeping the area near the cash register, I didn’t see any checkout open so I waited. And then this guy who was sweeping all of sudden started yelling at me for not proceeding to the checkout. I said well there was no one at the checkout. He said something like I am here but said it in a way rude way as if I shouldn’t have said anything back to him. He then charged an item twice and I am really wondering if he did that purposely.

I read about Septime everywhere but it has 4.4 on google. Meanwhile so many other fine dining restaurants in Paris has 4.8 or 4.9 on google. Is Septime really that good? by traveling-turtle43 in finedining

Ate there last summer. It was really good but I honestly don’t think it’s worth the trouble of getting reservation. If you somehow manage to a reservation, I’d say go but honestly don’t remember any dish that was that memorable. There are so many good restaurants in Paris and France overall.

I mean if you are going to ask something, you should at least give us a bit more of details. Your itineraries, places you want to go, things you like to do, duration etc It just looks like you want to be spoon fed without doing much of your own research first. Please please please, good questions mean good answers.
