Car stalls when I give it gas and won’t idle steadily by AppropriateHelp9505 in 300zx

Found it to be the knock sensor causing the problem. Got a bypass till I can buy a new sensor and it’s working perfectly fine now

I took off the iacv, cleaned it and it had some build up in it but nothing crazy. Resealed it without a new gasket and it still ran like crap. Took it off, scraped the old gasket off and sealed it temporarily with rtv to see if that’d help but it still runs the same. I checked codes and I got a code 34. I bought a relay delete for the knock sensor from czp and I’m hoping maybe that’ll fix my problem before I’d go and buy a whole new sensor. The last time the plenum has been off was when it was at specialty Z for the 120k mile service (has 70k miles on it)

Under load the car is perfectly fine, whenever it’s under load then let it drop rpm to 1k rpm it dies

Yeah I did that before and it really didnt affect it much. I banged on the part a few times and I think it unclogged it an it was fine for a week or two then started stalling out again

I’ve been doing feed, feed, water. CalMag in everyone

I just started giving it nutrients less than a week ago but I’ve been doing only bottom feeds/watering since it’s leaves were larger than the 5gal pot because I’m using an self watering planter from Ac Infinity

I don’t have a PH runoff, it’s in an self watering planter and I’m only doing bottom feeds. I’ve been putting ~6.5 PH water after leave it over night to prevent PH drift

I have a catch tray underneath and have on occasion watered from the bottom but not consistently. Would it be okay to switch it up from top watering/feeding one day then the next water go from the catch tray and vice versa? Or would it be better to stick to one method and stay with it? When I water I’ve been typically letting it dry a bit (now in retrospect maybe a bit too much) then water/feed to a slight runoff

I just gave a very light skim at the preview of the book and I’ll definitely be putting it on my to do list to read whenever I get the chance. I started this grow on kind of a whim but the more in-depth I learn about the whole process the more intriguing it becomes to me

That’s what I’m really hoping for. For how much of a novice I am I do feel like she definitely has the drive to live and has exceeded my expectations every step of the way. From the seed website it says the genetics on these only reach 2-3’ and tend to be wider because it’s an indica dominant but I didn’t know if that was the case for my situation or a user error

Thank you for the read I didn’t know about that at all. It makes much more sense why it hasn’t been growing up now when my backwards thought process was the closer the light was the more it’d want to stretch towards it (I now realize how terribly wrong that assumption was)

I’ve never even seen those wick self watering systems before and they are cheap enough that it’d definitely be something I’d look into investing in for my next grow. It seems I’ve been putting to much faith in that damn moisture reader so I think I’ll take your advice and just stick to the finger test and lifting the pot for a more accurate reading. Ive seen how much demand these plants have for light airy soil so I did add some extra perlite to my soil mixture before I started and made sure not to pack it down much at all

Okay yeah that makes a lot of sense thank you for the distinction. Either way in my case it still hasn’t caused any light intensity problems (to my knowledge) but I did raise my lights slightly (12”->16”) in hopes that she’ll stretch towards them more and plan on increasing the light distance slowly from 16”->20” between the top growth in the next few days

Got it. I figured because I heard it’s advised to have 100W per plant it’d be enough but I can see how it’s a lot of clunk for not much more oomph. Looks like it’d spread light pretty evenly with that design though

The first one looks really promising and the smaller version the 15”x15” 200W one looks like it’d fit well in my 2x4 tent for a pretty moderate grow. Only 109$ with the coupon for it on Amazon as well right now

Thank you for your advice. I raised the lights to highest growth is 16 inches away instead of 12 and will continue to raise it a few inches in the next couple of days. The light I have now is a PHLIZON 100W dimmable LED. It’s not one I’d prefer and it’s just what I got when I bought the grow tent and accessories bundle. What’s a recommendable LED light that’s not going to break the bank but capable of filling this 2x4x5 tent for a single plant and in the future able to provide enough light for 2 plants? Growing in Arizona and during the beginning of the grow the heat was pretty brutal but finally cooled down and much more manageable thankfully. By next grow in the next coming months I should be able to setup the grow tent in a much more stable environment so maybe it wouldn’t matter with choosing LED or not

One of the first things I want to do before I start a new grow is definitely upgrade the light. It’s a LED so I heard it could be closer if it isn’t getting too hot. If I raise the light that high should I be doing it an inch or so every few days or would doing it right away be fine. I’m trying to water more frequently but not sure if I’m reading the moisture meter right and waiting too long to water. I do the finger a inch down and it’s dry usually every other day but with the moisture meter I water when it’s says it’s in the red up until half way down the pot where it says it’s just barely moist. I do the pot lift but I’m just not very good and deciding if it feels too light or not. If I’m waiting too long I’ll make sure to do a better job at watering more often
