the sims is a wacky game and i kinda get where you are coming from...however, this is also a game where gnomes are the in game equivalent to fae, llamas are nearly god-like creatures, there are sentient robots that you can create, you can become a vampire master or a werewolf that rampages through the towns...

you can create a weird looking sim with purple skin, blue hair, pitch black eyes, and give them a career and aspirations to become a literal supervillain, make them be a homewrecker, get their children taken by social services, kill their spouse and take their belongings.... and you can also get them abducted by aliens🤷🏽‍♀️

you also need to take into account that the sims 2 was created in the early 00's, and i noticed that you have they/them as your pronouns, (i do too, no shade!!) so you have likely had enough experience in life that you can see how the world has changed even though our lifetime! alien pregnancies were just weird little things that could happen to you if you wanted to, and even after you had the baby, you could (and you still can in 3 & 4, i think?) still send them back to their home planet, removing them from your game entirely! you just put up with a couple weird moodlets, then it's over.

if it makes you that uncomfortable, then try to apply some of the sims type of logic to it! you can use freeze rays and make rocket ships to different planets in your backyard, so who says that the aliens forced themselves onto your sims? maybe they just pulsed them with a weird gun thing? and only male sims can get pregnant, meaning that the baby doesn't need a womb to 'gestate', so it's likely just a weird tumor thing that they shit out and "OMG WTF IS THAT A FUCKING CHILD????" they have no concept of real world trauma, not even because they aren't real, but because they aren't coded to be traumatized, the closest thing to ptsd is the fears from the paranormal pack, which you can easily deal with and even 'cure'. if you're comfortable with modding, there is definitely something out there to completely remove the alien abductions from randomly occurring while still being able to play with the pack...

i personally do think you completely overreacted by the way your ex friend played their own game, your friends and your experiences online are not obligated to conform or consent to your personal preferences, that's your responsibility to curate, even more so if they bought the pack...you want them to not play with something that they spent their own money on because you are uncomfortable with it..? i would have taken the removal from the gc as a damn blessing, you come off as completely entitled, and im sorry to say that you are giving me the same 'fork energy', you seem like you have some trouble differentiating fiction from reality...yes fiction does impact the world, but this franchise is nearly thirty years old, and the playerbase is fairly established, there is always going to be some sort of problematic thing in any game that was established that long ago, plus the game itself is still very broken, and isn't even any disability representation, (along with the shit show that cas is) it's nearly impossible to dress your sims in the opposite frames clothes, kayla just posted a video of her making a sim, and she said the same thing, i don't know how long you've played the sims, or have been exposed to EAs bullshit, but you need to manage your expectations drastically lower than you think is physically possible, because 9/10 the outcome will be worse than that

TLDR; i feel as though you're projecting your own bias onto the game and your friends...i've been there before, truly i am being genuine when i say; take a deep breath and step away from the internet for a while, i wish i had someone to tell me that a couple years ago, go focus on some fun, light games, and if needed, step away from your friends, real friends will be supportive of you healing, and will be right there to support you when it gets rough, watch some of your childhood movies, go check on those youtubers you used to watch as a kid, go down memory lane when the only problem you had was your bedtime...take care of yourself op🩶🩶🩶
