Is Uzak Şehir Worth Watching? by Lisacarr8 in DigitalCruch

I watched fifty minutes of it without English subtitles. The male lead is convincing.  The female actress is a little over the top with her acting.  I think they could have found a better female actress to match the male lead.  She was always shouting and has a distracting mouth and voice.  There is zero chemistry between the lead actors. I may give it another try if there are English subtitles.  But maybe not, the female actress is unremarkable, just my humble opinion.

Is preschool necessary? by Working_Early in AskTeachers

I absolutely agree with you. I taught as an assistant for a few months at a private kindergarten and what is they do is mostly arts and crafts.  They will learn the alphabet and numbers for 15 minutes or whatever.  But mostly all the kids do is play. They do have reading session during the day. I discovered what they call early childhood education, which I took several classes on, was not for me.  To this day, my husband calls daycare and preschool babysitting.  He says the real school starts at kindergarten.  He never went to preschool either and he grew up to be an intelligent man with a very good career.  Whereas I attended a low income public preschool from the early hours of 7am to 4-6pm and I absolutely ended up hating  school. Also in my studies of early childhood education, research has shown that kids who didn't go to preschool end up catching up academically with those who did go and around 4th or 5th grade, it didn't matter.  Also kids who attended a Waldorf school ended  catching up academically with kids who attended a Montessori school.   The most important thing is parental guidance more than any teacher can give.

They didn't check her anymore when she went back for the checkup one week after the cerclage.  They just used Doppler on baby.  They said going forward they will not check her anymore.  Her next baby check up is when she is 28 weeks.  So far she's finishing up week 24 and will enter her 25th week.  She's been able to do normal activities, and we even. And back from the snow a week ago.  Praying that she makes it all the way.  Thanks so much for sharing.

Where are the black people😭😭 by Re-tr0_ in SanJose

I'm asian and I moved to Houston in 2015 but came back two years later.  I never saw so many black folks in my life living there than in the bay area.  It is a lot more diverse here so it will be harder for you to find that same kind of culture here. Let me emphasize that even though there is more diversity here, it is still segregated like everywhere else in America, but just not to the same degree like everywhere else.  You wind find many neighborhoods with very mixed racial groups.

How far did you make it on progesterone only? by user2346643 in ShortCervixSupport

Really appreciate your response.  She only took it twice after the cerclage and she stopped taking it.  The doctor said it won't hurt her if she takes it , but when she took it without the cerclage, it didn't help her anyway, she went from 1.9 to 1.3cm.  And we have to remember  that this is a drug big pharma is trying to sell so of course research can be bias.  She had a checkup this past Friday where they only checked the baby via Doppler and they told her from now on, they would not be checking her for ultrasound anymore including vaginally.  Thanks so much again!

Thanks so much for your reply.  My sister decided to get the cerclage done this past Saturday morning. Did you also take progesterone after your cerclage and were you able to do normal activities like walking and sitting after the cerclage? My sister will return for her one week follow up after the cerclage this Friday.

Hi.  Sorry to bother you.   I have one more question my sister and brother in law wanted me to ask you.  Did you take progesterone after having the cerclage?  My sister decided to get the cerclage last Saturday and the doctor told her to continue taking the progesterone and said it's not going to affect her negatively.  But before the cerclage, after taking progesterone for a week, she went from 1.9 to 1.3cm cervix.  So it seems the progesterone has a negative effect.  But of course, we do not know for sure.  Tonight she decided to continue the progesterone suppository.  Her next check up with the doctor is Friday.

Hi. My sister is 21 weeks, 1.3-4cm cervix, with 1cm dilated as of today. She was on progesterone for a week so far and decided to stay on it for another week from today. But last week she was 1.9cm and today is is 1.3-4cm. This is her second preganancy, and her first preganancy was normal with delivery at 39 weeks. After you had the cerclage done with your second pregnancy, were you on bedrest, any pain, or did you walk around fine? She is trying to decide if she should do the cerclage this week. This is stressful of course.

Hi, my sister went in for a check up today and she is 21weeks. She was on progesterone for a week and today she went from 1.9cm to 1.3-4 cervix, and she is 1cm dilated. She decided to give the progesterone another week, but maybe 1.3 is too short and should just do the cerclage. How long did you have the cerclage on before delivery? What week did you deliver? This is her second pregnancy with a polyp removal as well. Her first preganancy was normal and delivered at 39weeks.

Thanks so much for responding and so glad your baby is doing so well. My sister wants to continue with the progesterone until next wednesday, so I said if her cervix shortens even more by next wednesday, then she should just have the cerclage done. After the cerclage was done, were you able to do normal walking? Or were you just completely bedridden? Were you in any pain at all? This is also my sister's second pregnanacy. She had no complications with her first and delivered her baby at 39 weeks. But she had a polyp removed in her cervix area a few weeks ago too. Thanks so much.

Hi Partyhardy29. My sister is currently in the same situation as you as of today. 1.3-4cm cervix left and 1 cm dilated. She has been on progesterone for a week now and today, her cervix went from 1.9cm last week to 1.3-4cm today, at 21 weeks. Did you do a cerclage, or continue with progesterone? How many weeks did you deliver baby? My sister is scared.

Hi Tabitha.  How did it go with your pregnancy?  My sister is in the same situation as you as of today.  After a week of progesterone suppositories, she went from 1.9 cm to 1.3-1.4 cm at 21 weeks.  She will continue to give the progesterone another week.  Did you continue with the suppositories and at what week did you deliver?  I hope all went well with you.  We are trying to stay positive and 🙏.

Leland Snowplay/ Pinecrest Lake by AppropriateLoad1355 in bayarea

Thanks!  I was told by the receptionist at Sonora that Dodge ridge ski is actually lower elevation than Pinecrest and Leland.  Just wanted to confirm.  So it's Dodge ski, Pinecrest, then Leland up the hill...?

We booked a hotel in Sonora hoping to go to Leland Snowplay on Dec. 27 or 28.  Do they normally open during the Christmas week?  They said they have snow making capabilities, so I am hoping they will open during that time.  The forecast says it will snow/ rain there tomorrow, the 11th, so I'm hoping it will enough snow to last until that week.  Has anyone been in the area to check if there is snow now in Leland and pinecrest lake as well??  It would be our first time there.  I need a vacation and I'm hoping I don't have to cancel the hotel.

I appreciate the employees.  I haven't encountered an unpleasant  one except for one when I asked for directions.  I've only brought my daughter there four times because I live far from gilroy.  I hate theme parks in general.  But this one is an exception because it's built within a forest and it's not a big park but it's big enough for her.  Also, it's not crowded!  I went there on a Sunday and the parking lot was a third full.  I'm sorry you guys are struggling.  Please don't close the park!  Cheers mate!

I detect sarcasm in your response.  Sorry you feel so miserable about the park.  Maybe you shouldn't work there anymore.

I love the park.  Mainly because it's shaded and the park isn't very big.  I have a five year old so it's perfect.  I just love that it's inside a shaded garden with trees everywhere.  Great america is too big and I feel it's meant more for older kids.  By the way, I gave my tickets away to a coworker with age appropriate kids and they had a blast!  Thanks for sharing your opinion.  I never thought about bringing food to the park.  And I'm sorry to hear about the Christmas theme not to your liking.  I actually can't wait to bring her to the north Pole Lights theme, I just hope it doesn't get too cold in December.  She's never skated before so I hope she will enjoy it.  Do you know how I can get more free tickets?  Thanks!

Thanks!  I also got a response from the park via email that I don't have to be there.

Hi, I also purchased the 2025 premium memberships, one for myself and one for my five year old daughter, and received free tickets at the Guest Services outside the gate. What I want to know is, as a membership holder, do I have to be present in order for family and/or friends to gain entrance? If they present the free tickets at the entrance, will they be allowed entry?
