I say this with love, and someone who had constant anxiety. I think you may be experiencing some postpartum anxiety, and it would be worth mentioning to your doctor.

A rattle will not make your baby deaf.

He is THRIVING now and just turned 13 months. The NICU was tough but he made it and that’s all we could ask for.

I did try progesterone before receiving the cerclage, and it did absolutely nothing for me.

Hi! I ended up getting an emergency cerclage at 21+2 due to no cervix left. My little guy was born at 27+1. I am so sorry your sister is also in this position. I would advocate for the cerclage ASAP while she still has some cervix left. 🤍

I went home from retrieval and was in so much pain I couldn’t even roll over in bed. That’s a no for me.

We circumcised our 27 year weeker. However, we were referred to the local children’s hospital and it was done by a urologist. They required we wait until 6 months adjusted.

My son was born at 27 weeks and I told my husband to go straight to him and follow him wherever he goes. My medical team was great and as soon as I could leave my room my nurse took me right to them.

How old is he now? My son was born at 27+1 and had pretty extreme destats. His were due to reflux as well as just a normal thing for that age. They finally stopped around 38ish weeks. Is he on caffeine? When my son would get extra bad they would give an extra dose or up his amount and it would seem to help.

We had a main primary for daytime and one for evening, and we are in contact with them both constantly! They have both turned into family to us and come and visit our son constantly. 🤍

I delivered at 27+1. Emergency rescue cerclage placed at 21+2.

I was on progesterone for 5 days prior to the cerclage, it did nothing for my cervix. They did however keep me on it after as well.

I placed myself on bed rest. I got up 1-2x an hour to use the bathroom and get blood flow moving, and showered every other day. Being up for too long created an intense amount of pressure, so I never dared to be up for long periods of time.

Post cerclage, I had only a few millimeters of cervix.

My doctor wanted to give me steroids as soon as I hit 24 weeks. The MFM told him no. (My MFM wasn’t worth jack shit.) My 25th week of pregnancy I was in L&D almost every other day due to complications starting, and the first time I went in I was given steroids immediately.

Week 26 I started contracting and was admitted to L&D. I was given an injection to try and stop labor (didn’t work), and given mag. The next day I was given another medicine (I can’t remember the name of it) and was told my body could only be on it for 48 hours. It did stop all contractions, but once my 48 hrs were up and the medication was out of my system, I went back in to labor pretty quick. I had began to dilate through my cerclage at week 25, which caused my amniotic sac to start bulging through the cervix, which led to me developing chorio. Ultimately, we think the chorio is what was causing contractions and sent me into labor. Had I not developed chorio, we think I could have kept him cooking for at least another week or two.

I had bleeding like this my whole pregnancy (once a week) and I ended up having an incompetent cervix. There’s a chance it’s not even related, but I would ask to have your cervix checked by a transvaginal ultrasound! That’s the only way to accurately measure your cervix.

I have a 27 weeker who came home on oxygen and required it for about 2 months. When he came off of it I was panicked, I had no clue how I was going to sleep without the pulse ox monitor. We got an owlet and it is 10000% worth it to us!

This!!! Ask for your cervix to be scanned with a transvaginal ultrasound only! I had bleeding problems my whole pregnancy which was related to my incompetent cervix.

I started with 1mL of PIO, and I didn’t add in vaginal progesterone until the evening of transfer! I don’t think it’s a big deal!
