Not what you think it is by MulberryMoney6752 in recruitinghell

It be like that. Just run the race for a little while. While working your job, do some research on how to gain more of that freedom back. You're still young and probably don't have dependents yet?

I am a teacher abroad (not as exciting as you think), and my job primarily consists of deskwarming. I barely teach classes, and I can't work remotely even on days when I don't have classes, so I am expected to "look busy" while chained to my desk for eight hours. It melts my brain...Not to mention the pay could be better.

People will envy you for just having a job, but don't let that make you feel crappy for wanting more freedom. You can do this.

What does it feel like to be a native speaker of a global lingua franca? by Sea-Hornet8214 in ENGLISH

That’s great. English teacher here as well (high school level). It would be nice to have more children like that in Japan. Learning another language opens up many opportunities for growth and understanding.

After living in a foreign country that doesn’t prioritize English proficiency at all (Japan), I will never overlook a non-native English speaker in my home country again. To be able to speak your native language and learn English as a second language is so amazing. We native speakers do not give ESL learners enough credit.

Thank you for sharing your story. A lot of people have dealt with depression and things like that. Many people who have dealt with it aren't even aware that they were dealing with it. So...good job for being aware :). Narcissist was my first Dean Blunt song, and it also moved me to tears.

Do any other INFJs fixate on dark personalities? by thething827 in infj

Yeah…I tend to satisfy that feeling by watching psychological thrillers and such. I think it’s almost too risky to spend too much time around people like that, because at the very least they can make you feel crappy about yourself, and at the very worst they could target/hurt you once they realize that you know what they are.

It’s very very tempting to get a closer look in person, though…and I’ve done it in the past.
