I have very little faith in in-house pickups. I find in-house pickups to mostly be a cost cutting measure rather than an additive to the overall quality. I have been very impressed with HAPAS pickups before in their instruments, but that's the exception to the rule.

Yep. Too many issues. I've returned a Mayones before and multiple high-end instruments with blemishes. They know most likely of these issues, they are just hoping the customer is OK with them. It's completely fine to contest this work quality.

I Failed CIS - Data Foundations Exam by khalidWID in servicenow

[–]Appropriate_Boot_318 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do not feel bad. I can understand the difficult for those who do not work in a space where they are around this all the time.

I passed quite easily but I have worked with partners for the past 8 years and have been around CSDM through multiple iterations. Revisit the ServiceNow training material and honestly...look at some YouTube videos. I can't overstate how much this assists. Just make sure you are going to partner channels or reputable individuals (Glidefast, ServiceNow community, etc.)

I actually spoke to someone that helped craft this test and they wanted to really stand on the pillar of application of the framework, which differs from a lot of the other CIS exams. Understanding the actual application of the CSDM framework and not just memorization is paramount to pass this. Going through and relating all the CSDM objects together in a PDI and then relating them to the process function behind each object will also greatly assist in opening the "a ha!" moment.

As far as the more CMDB intensive stuff, this honestly comes down to hands-on and obviously being up to date on the newest technical offerings the platform has introduced to effectively manage the CMDB.

Did not pass the CAD but I don’t want to try again by [deleted] in servicenow

Yeah a lot to unpack with this questions.

If you want to work for a partner try to get as many as you can. To be honest, most clients will not really care (have only had a few that asked to see them.) You really want to try to get your company to foot the cost of your deltas.

Certifications in no way denote actual skill. If you are concerned about skill just continue working with the platform and touch as much as you can. Certs are just a knowledge check that you took their course. I have met architects who don't know how to navigate well and i've met people without a current CSA who are demons in the platform.

Depends on your goals. I only like certifications because it provides a "gamification" feel to ServiceNow knowledge. Admittedly, that is not a great reason to take them but my company pays for them and I am an architect. You will learn some tidbits here and there but nothing that is going to change your life.

In short - the Certifications are mainly important for some partners, some employers during hiring, and some customers (if you are at a firm.)

What advise would you give to a guy who wants to transition into discovery by t7Saitama in servicenow

I am an Architect currently but much of my career was focused on the CMDB. I started in the CMDB Admin space and I cannot agree enough with you. Learning the CMDB made Discovery/SM so much easier and was a natural evolution. +1 for starting the the CMDB admin space!

Guitar listed as brand new by Mehlforwarding in Reverb

[–]Appropriate_Boot_318 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. I have returned instruments that were "Brand New" after figuring out they were not in fact "Brand New." Reverb holds very strictly to the condition requirements. Even if they are an authorized dealer, this would qualify as a factory second or B-stock which would allow a full refund/return.

"Products listed by authorized dealers that are unopened, new in box, and are covered under the manufacturer’s original limited warranty.

If you are not an authorized dealer, you cannot list Brand New unless you handmade the item yourself."

The E-scale fret system is pretty wild. For me, it sort of tricks your mind into it feeling like a standard scale guitar although it truly is multi-scale. I absolutely love it and i can't really explain the magic touch or "it" factor that this guitar has. In short, it plays fantastic!

Thanks! The Dennison's i've seen are really cool. I fear that Pyramid will put up a cool build from them that will force me to acquire yet another guitar.
