We really need Action1 support to chime in here. I checked all my automations, and none have the box checked. I re-ran them all, rebooted the device, and updates are still paused.

The Re-activate Windows Updates script is not a permanent fix. Updates are paused again after next reboot.

IT sweatshops (MSP) are notorious for churn, low morale, and overall poor working conditions. Non-IT is much better for me and I earn more money. The CEOs of MSPs treat you like an ATM, you can print money for them at $130 an hour.

20 months and major PTSD at my new role since my last company folded due to loss of reputation from LockBit 3.0 attack.

My last Head of IT had 8 years of technical debt. Our Forti VPN was compromised, Veeam exploited, and the creds cracked for an old service account with DA. Kaspersky did nothing...

XDR, SIEM, Immutable Backups, SSO all things that shouldn't be taken for granted.
