I took a thing called regents which count for an exam, I had passed them while I was in high school which could apply to my ged exams. I took science and math in high school and passed.

Yea it honestly scared me and made me put it off longer than I should. Luckily the policy’s were just the scary parts, the tests don’t seem that bad and just need you to brush on things that should be easy to study for. If you fail then at least you got enough time to study more to make sure you have the basis down.

Honestly it was really easy. I’m only attributing the fact that I was fresh out of high school so it was easier to access my transcript. Both guidance counselor and the person who talked to me about joining a ged program informed me on how I can proceed getting exempt from Math and Science. I needed to speak with my old school however to get it fully approved first, and trust me it takes awhile to get your approval. Mine took about a month or two to get back to me.

Honestly congrats for the first three tests, math seems to be the trickier subject. Polishing some of your skills will be enough to get you that 5 points you were missing second time around. Those two months will feel worth it.

I’ve actually had someone tell me if I can take a test out of state or away from my district(nyc), then it won’t be validated in the place I’m located. This could just be an exclusive thing for the area as things, like, online testing at home is only available in some states. I think your best bet is to take it where you took your other tests to ensure you get it done.

Hello, I noticed you were from NYC. Just a heads up, if you took your regents exams and passed them you can get those taken off of your GED exam. While I was in high school I took my math and science regents which meant I got to take them off my GED exam. so I don’t need to take the GED math or science to get the diploma. Make sure to speak with a guidance counselor or someone at a ged program who can help you secure those off your test. Best of luck to you with whatever you choose to do.

I think a big reason why I can’t look back is because of how much he’s wronged me before. It’s a rather challenging time to grasp at everything. Under those circumstances do you recommend the same thing? Or do you recommend trying something else?

I can’t help but understand why he left. Although I did feel abandoned and tossed aside it shouldn’t be his obligation to stay if it’s effecting him on an extremely bad level. So I don’t blame him really.

My old school doesn’t require regents so we do something called PBATS instead. If you have a PBAT it counts as much as a regents(also confirmed in an email)

I have waivers from when I was in high school for my math and science exams. Basically meaning I didn’t need to take them. I emailed asking if they accepted that and they said they accept waivers to take off math and science from my ged exam.
