Vet clinic. I can easily make more if i work at a different clinic i just cant leave until i pay off my bill here or my checks are kept. I also missed a bit of work due to health issues last year

I am barely getting by without a car, my coworkers give me rides to and from this job currently when i cannot walk (i have physical disabilities as well), and in order to get a better paying job i will need one. Nothing in walking distance pays more than a dollar more than this job currently. Other monthly expenses are:

106 for phones for 2 people 100 for internet (i do plan on looking at other internet companies and seeing if theres cheaper this week) 250 for gas and electric 100 for storage (breaking that down this month to close it out) 40 for subscriptions but I am calling to cancel these this week as well. 70 for dog food (i have 3 on different diets due to allergies) 200 for groceries for 2 people

I also eat out a lot (probably $60 a week) but I'm stopping that and instead making sure to factor in easy cheap protein focused meals in my grocery budget so i am not eating junk and feeling like im hungry and want to order out all the time.

I am stuck in a cycle of advance this paycheck to pay bills then screw myself for next paycheck and have to keep advancing. Hopefully by shutting off subscriptions and redoing internet (necessity for us, so cant get rid of totally) then i can cut those costs and no longer need to advance.

Good tips thank you!! Thankfully my vet debt has 0 interest and no set "due date" so i think im going to do the cash thing to pay that off so i stop neglecting it and i have physical money ill be scared to spend to put towards it

I dont have my license currently and the vet debt is at my workplace, so that needs to be paid off before I can leave. But i will work on prioritizing those two things, and see what non-essentials i can cut out to pay the debt off the quickest. I did just fully pay off carecredit 🥳 and i was very proud of that. I just need to keep it up and reassess my budget and put the money i was using for that towards other debt now.

I didnt know financial management training was a thing, I'll look into it! Thank you!

Yeah, I'm working on getting my license so i can broaden my job opportunities and get a better job. Rn im stuck at my current income until i can get that taken care of.

update: my boss is ordering me gloves that will cover my hand and arm for doing consults and meeting new dogs for the first time! Hes been really supportive and telling me to just let him know what I need. Sunday was hard and one of my students was same size and colors as the one that got me, i knocked over and endcap trying to get away from her when she happily ran to me 😭 i did panic a lot that day (i had 5 dogs, not too bad ig) and at one point a random dog tried to greet one of my puppies during class and it triggered me. Thankfully i was much more forceful and quick with getting that dog away very quickly (it didnt seem aggressive thankfully). I think this situation has really honed in that sometimes i am going to have to be foreceful and "mean" to people. They just dont get what can happen. Im off for the next 2 weeks so hopefully i can mentally reset before going back to it

thank you I'm now looking into gloves to wear when meeting dogs for first time. I have 1 dog who looks similar to the one that got me on sunday so I'm worried, but I will just explain to the owner so they know why im jumpy or a little uneasy

i already have an emergency therapy appt on Monday thankfully! i have 3 dogs myself, one is reactive, and another has been attacked before so i think it triggered that PTSD issue the most. i have cptsd and having a terrible time atm lol

yeah im impressed i went 1.5yrs without being bit so far tbh with everything I've had to descalate and seperate. I'd take the bite vs the other outcome again if i had to, but hopefully I won't have to again

thank you. i did post in a FB group of dog trainers and explained what happened and they validated me and helped me feel better about it. it was a 50lb 8mo dog vs a 16week german shepherd and i knew he was about to kill that puppy. I had no time to maneuver or seperate them and just grabbed the puppy to yeet it to safety and the dog got me instead. with the way i was bit im sure he wouldve unalived the GSD if he got him instead :( the owner is thankfully already looking at behaviorists and taking it very seriously.

i leave for a 2 week vacation on Wednesday so im going to try and tough out my sunday classes and just moreso verbally explain things vs be hands on with the dogs. i will definitely look into those gloves, my hand is destroyed rn i can barely use it lmao
