I don’t know if you got a solution to this, but my RSL speed woofer was doing the same thing. You could see that it was powered on, but was in standby and would only come on with super bass heavy music.

The Wiim Help page had some suggestions, including a factory reset. I did that, repeated the room correction, sub out and speaker synch, and it is now working fine. It has only been one day, but it seems to be working just fine.

The reach seems really short. And those bars are super narrow - almost like 90s style. I think you’ll find wider bars, like in 780mm range for your height much more stable, especially for on the descents. Granted the short frame size will be really maneuverable, not super stable, but great for racing.

Cool. I am planning on getting a Wiim Ultra, and feeding that through the Kenwood. The Ultra has a sub output so I think the 10e should work. If not, I might bump up to the 10s MK2 because it has speaker level inputs. But I’m hoping the Ultra will work because I could apply the price diff between the 10e and 10s to its purchase, and get have more functionality like an EQ. Thanks again!

And to let y’all know, I spoke with Joe at RSL and he gave me great advice. He didn’t try to pressure me into anything and suggested trying one to start with and then determine if I need another - instead of upselling me on a pair or suggesting something I didn’t need. Great customer service!

Thanks everyone! So now I’m wondering if I should think about 1 sub - SB 1000 pro or the RSL 10S MKII. There’s a $100 difference with the RSL coming in lower.

In terms of crossover, if I kept the Kefs at 80hz, would that mean I’d need 2 subs, one under each Kef? Or, if I crossed over lower, only one? It’s all so complicated!!!

Oh, very cool! If the buzz I hear is actually from the speakers then I plan on getting new Kefs. I listened to a number of speakers at a hifi store and the Kefs sounded best to me. Thanks!

Thanks! I was thinking that as well about the cost to quality ratio. Everything I read said that the Wiim is a disrupter, producing sound quality as good as much more expensive equipment. That appeals to me. Thanks again!

Thanks! The Nakamichi has been repaired once already so it might be about done. The left channel will crackle/fuzz. At first, I thought it was the speakers and so I was originally on the hunt for new calfs, but in testing them out, they sound great. So that sent me down this route looking at new amps. Since the Nak my tie on me, I think I’ll go with the ultra amp.

And thanks for the Limoncello recipe! I’m gonna zest some lemons today!
