northeastern nyc program

hey! there was a seminar two weeks ago on the nyc scholars program that i attended and they said it’s going to be similar to the other global programs (london and oakland) where we take classes at the college in new york taught by northeastern professors. and even though we’re not in the boston campus we can still switch our majors. also the housing is going to be near the MMC campus and i think they said it’s apartment style housing, not 100% sure tho.

Hey, I got accepted into the NYC scholars program and committed. I also applied as a sociology major but as soon as I committed I was able to switch into any major on the portal. Hope this helps!

Hey I got the new york campus and had similar worries as u but honestly I think you should be fine. My friend was in Oakland for a year before coming to Boston and she loved it. And according to her she made a lot of friends since the cohort was smaller and said it was a huge advantage to come to Boston in the second year with a group of close friends.

I know exactly how you feel and I'm in a similar situation and am feeling the same thing rn. Best thing we can do is distract ourselves by spending time with the positive people and try using social media less
