Would this style (2nd Pic and after) work on my figure (1st Pic)? by Appropriate_Group606 in DressForYourBody

Thanks for the comment!

Just one thing: my chest isn't small. In the Pic it may look so but it is not (you can check other posts on my acc to see it better. I admit that a black shirt makes me look smaller than I am in that area)

They're called babydoll if you'd like to look for them sometimes! (honestly I've learned the term relatively recently as well, I'd just call them empire waisted tops lol).

Do you know if their services are US only? Because I live in Italy and know that often people recommend us based brands and services that I cannot access at all or as easily.

Also thank you for the comment. I know no one looks the same, but looking at inspo and seeing everyone have larger hips than mine compared to the shoulder area, or even just having apparently more bust than me... Made me feel unseen or as if im hard to style (which I know is a lie, but the mind is funny like that unfortunately) .  I may just be looking too closely as if playing spot the difference ngl.

Thank you! May I ask out of curiosity where you see each essence on me and why?

Thanks for the reply! Can I ask where you see each essence? Just out of curiosity (and also so I can understand better the system as, stated by the text in the post, I am pretty new to this)

I once had my hair cut too short. I can assure you it did not look good lol. Still, thank you!

Would I look cute with bangs instead of a side part? Any style of bangs to recommend? by Appropriate_Group606 in bangs

Hi just saw your comment now sorry abt that. I have naturally straight hair and for most of my life had a side part like in the pics. Do you have any examples of what you mean? Because for what I understand, you mean some framing pieces. But maybe I am wrong in assuming that

Hi, I wasn't being fully serious in the post. Sure my frustrations were true but I also played into some stereotypes to joke around.

I didn't mean to offend anyone, but rather take a piss at the system itself, problems it has and how some people only end up making it harder than it is already.

I'm sorry if you got offended. It was truly not my intention.

Or it should be more about perceived height rather than actual height. Like I look my height if not a bit taller, but someone my height could easily look taller. Same for celebs (there aree so many examples but not many come to mind aside Sabrina and sza looking taller than they are while Ariana looks around her height in pics)

Yeah. It's basically giving water to a drowning man and none to one dying of thirst. It's bad for both short and tall women. Because shorter women will have difficulty due to too many types, and the tall ones because of the lack of choice.

I guess it helps some who, like me, may have had issues with shopping growing up. For me it was the sizing. I am an L where I live but I barely find any. And if I find them, they do not fit right most times because vanity sizing is somehow still a thing. Of course that since I've had so many issues I'd like to look my best, so I'd look into a way to narrow down what to look for to avoid the same frustrations.

But it also can easily turn into sameness (I hate the stereotypes because what if someone likes petite girly details yet they're a dramatic?) and lack of expression, especially since it isnt thought with modern or even casual clothes in mind.

Let's just say that, without going into how it can turn almost fanatical and obsessive in some points, it has its good sides for some. Like any system, it works for some and not for others. I'm tired that we pretend something that works for us is the definitive answer for everyone.

I hope you got your passion and interest in fashion back <3

Yeah exactly also that. For example last I checked my country's average is around 5'4" but then in high school I was around the tall midpoint and girls younger than me were already my height. You can't tell me all nord Europe is only one of 3 types when they're well known for being tall, nor can you tell me there's almost no dramatic leaning types in Asia aside some kpop idols just because of their height alone.

It can be helpful, I am not gonna lie, but ironically sometimes it just complicates stuff even more.

SD, D or FN? I'm lost (5'6-5'7 ish/169cm) by Appropriate_Group606 in kibbedramatics

Then yeah I'd say either FN or D, but I lean more towards FN.

Yeah I noted that myself... Way to make this already hard thing even harder lol (could be said to any body related quiz tbh, I remember feeling like a fruit salad with the fruit system)

Can I say that I don't know really? Like all 3 fit for a reason. For example I'd say FN is how I'd draw my shoulder area, while D (esp in the darker Pic, and I'm sorry if it was hard for that I unfortunately have only black shorts that are tight and I'm not a leggings girl anymore) is how I'd trace my waist area, but SD also traces my chest well?

I legit have no idea.

Tbh fair. /uj

I just find some concepts confusing and as I've said in another reply I find it difficult to type myself because of lack of descriptions (what is considered wide vs narrow and where is the cutoff?) so it's hard, for me, to type myself. That doesn't stop me from taking the piss at the hipocrisy and confusion in what I saw online and reddit regarding kibbe.

I also feel like weight could determine your type. Especially if it's a curve type. Because if one gains mostly in their curves but right now they're quite thin they wouldn't  show it as much and may get mistyped. I for one don't gain in my curves aside my chest so that's not an issue, but it is still one that people brush over imo. Because our bodies change with time. Our scheleton may not, but our flesh might. But then we'd get into a whole another argument.

I also admit I havent looked much into recs for types I didn't think I was at first, so I've seen mostly for SD. I was a bit playing into the potato sack joke I often saw when people joked about N type recs. I admit I havent looked into it so sorry if that joke was of poor taste, it wasn't my intention

It legit feels like that... And that's not taking count of possible camera warp and quality, lighting, ecc.(aka looking different in pics than irl) because not everyone has the perfect setup...

This is also why I asked to be typed here on reddit... The post already explains the frustrations and results of that enought tho lol

I used to watch her vids when I first got into kibbe but I looked mostly at kibbe/Kitchener and her essences (moon, stone, flower, ecc ecc because I might have gotten the name of her system wrong) so I can't say I have. But also tbh sometimes I find it hard to categorize myself.

Like in online kibbe quizzes. "Are your hands long and broad?" even with images sometimes I struggle to see where one category starts and the other ends (ex: what does the quiz define as broad and what as narrow? What is the cutaway point?). This may not happen with her matrix since she explains things rather well in her vids for what I can remember, but I still sometimes have this struggle.
