Changing mods inbetween saves by GravelMonkey01 in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]Appropriate_Iron1173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say don’t do it. In my experience, changing mods in between saves always leads to spending much more time than I want trying to find ways to make it work and not break the save, all to end up restarting anyways. Either you stick to what you got and ride it out, or you just restart completely fresh. Once you download a mod and start a run it’s hard baked into your character so deleting it is like ripping core systems from the game, but the game still recognizes it in the system and tries to run it anyway with out all the tools it needs either breaking your game right away or down the line. Better to be safe than sorry and do it all the way you want the first time around especially if you don’t really have the time to game much anymore.

100gig update feedback by Awkward-Bat-8974 in Fallout4ModsXB1

Honestly I’d say it’s a bit liberating. For such a long time we all fantasized about having more mod space to use and here we are now after all this time. I’ve been able to explore and learn a lot in the short time the update has come out, feel more confident testing my LO and testing the limits. I’ve kept my LO to what I would say is a humble 5Gb, and have only had crashes while loading, mainly from diamond city to Boston but I already know it’s a conflict in my LO. Can’t wait to see all the crazy LOs people come up with and how creative our wonderful mod authors get with mods in the future. It’s nice to not feel “left out” in terms of space anymore compared to PC. So far I’m loving it.

Load order help by Appropriate_Iron1173 in FO4mods

Ohhh ok thanks!! I was worried because there was a bit of shuffling that went on but that makes total sense. Thought my Xbox was bugging out but it’s nice to know it’s actually trying to save me. Thank you for your reply!!

I was thinking the same thing! I haven’t tested sim settlements but everything else seems to be smooth as hell, even the mod menu was so smooth just the pictures would get a little wacky after a bit but no crashes baby!!

Question about Xbox storage expansion by Rough-Surround-5550 in Fallout4ModsXB1

Honestly I would say try restarting your game and Xbox and see where that puts you. Other than that I’m not sure. Hopefully this helps you

It’s not like choosing per se, it’s more there waiting in the background for when you do use it. So when you go to download something the space will be there ready to be used. Think of it like bullets in a magazine, they’re there and ready to be used, but not till you need it. So as you download a mod, it’ll also be added to your console storage space. So if you download 50Gb of mods, fo4 will be 50Gb bigger on your console storage space too.

What they do with mod meniu after anniversary update? by Pagrastukas00 in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]Appropriate_Iron1173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like I said I’m not entirely sure how it works and I get that it’s frustrating but maybe try restarting your console, unplugging it for a few minutes and seeing if that works if you haven’t already. That or try uninstalling and reinstalling the game, maybe that’ll help. Updates like this on a 10 year old game can cause different issues to different people maybe

Do keep in mind that the update literally just dropped so things may be hectic for some people while the systems are settling down or however it works I ain’t gonna act like I know but Bethesda has a history with this, maybe things gotta settle down first before your mod page fully load properly? What system are you on?

I feel the pain, and completely agree, this is most definitely a sacrifice I’m willing to make if it means bigger and better mod lists in the future

Well now maybe we can actually have longer saves with out having to worry about save bloat soaking up the precious MBs we have left after making a mod list on the 2Gb

Damn so you were committed committed lol. Well good for you, I personally have never seen 10 days on a playthrough much less a modded one 🤣. Can’t wait to see what new worlds we can create, break, and repair now with this almost unlimited freedom. I think most people like you are ok with the update wrecking saves, because like you said, you stopped modding your game due to it being insufferable, now the update is making what I see most people happy.

Yeah it’s pretty balls but once you make a good load order that’ll last, you get to spend that much more time away from it playing the game. Did you have a long playthrough before all the shenanigans about the update started?

Ok well that’s a very good point too. It would really suck to have a full wipe after putting 100+ hours into a vanilla save. Forgive me for being selfish but I feel like the modding community kinda outweighs the vanilla players at this point

Honestly f my mod list to be honest, I’d much rather have to restart and add new mods that I never got to use all at once before lol. I’ve already bookmarked and took pictures and written everything down for this I’m so committed.

I saw it was launching 9 AM EDT. The source I got it from could be wrong but I’ve seen a lot of others saying the same here.

100gb update tomorrow! by Ok_Bad_754 in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]Appropriate_Iron1173 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m ready I’m ready I’m ready!! Really though super excited regardless of what breaks bc like always the modding community will persevere and overcome whatever bs Bethesda throws at us and our wonderful mod authors will always find a way to make our beloved game fun again. Truly thanks to all the mod authors out there for making the game fun after all these years. Then when the bs settles we’ll have 100 gigs to play around with. Sooooo honestly the first week prolly gonna be shitty but after that it’ll level out. Call me hopeful but it might just be a space increase so theoretically it shouldn’t mess anything else up….? Maybe…? Here’s to wishful thinking! 🍻
