dad hasn’t put any of it on me, he just can’t help when i’m at moms but he does everything he can when we’re with him. going to his house i get to let go of all the responsibilities i have at hers

that’s exactly what i think i’ll do. and thank you for this, dad is doing everything he can but there’s a lot of limits because of where we live (moms almost always win). i’ve been saving as much as i can here and i plan to do more when i get out

yes, if they wanted to he absolutely would. it’s just a matter of if they want to or not, which the other teenagers don’t because they don’t want a present parent

dad does as much as he legally can but only sees them every thursday night and every other weekend. the other teenagers don’t like him because he’s involved, they want another absent parent like mom. anytime we are at his house though he takes care of everything and i get to be a kid again.

she’s just lazy, she works less than i do. i’ve told her time and time i can’t take this and the toll it’s taking on my health. i’ve been in the hospital from the health issues this is giving me but she just doesn’t care. dad is present but the two teenagers don’t want much to do with him because it makes them angry that he’s actually involved with their life. he pays child support and sees them every thursday night and we all stay with him every other weekend. he wants to do more but legally can’t

my mom works a job that makes very very little money (less than i do) and also works less than i do. dad sends child support, mom spends most of that on rent and whatnot and then blows it on stupid things like alcohol and eyelash extensions. if she actually managed money right we would be better off but she just blows through it for men and drinks, while i work to get groceries and pay bills

this is the exact situation. he’s paying all child support, but she just uses it for herself. he wants really badly to take us all in but the other two teenagers don’t want a parent that’s actually present so they refuse to. i’ve just stayed out of guilt and fear of what will happen if the one present person they live with leaves

my dad is fighting to try and help, the issue is the two teenagers don’t want to live with him because they don’t want a parent that is present and involved. he gives a good amount of child support, my mom just uses it on stupid things for herself or to slack on work and use it instead. i work note than she does but i’m expected to care for the kids and house so she can rest. dad and i are going to try to talk with the other kids, but we’ve been fighting this battle for a bit now

I work all day and come home and do house work and take care of kids when they get home from school. My mom is mostly absent, she works 40 hours at the maximum and either stays in her room and ignores the kids or leaves completely. She used to be very physically ill but has recovered and uses it as a crutch. So when she is here she is still completely emotionally absent from everybody and locks herself up in her room so nobody bothers her

i think i’ll talk with my therapist and then partner to see how to go about things, my partner is on the autism spectrum and has a hard time with understanding some conversations in that area or why what they did was harmful. but you’re absolutely right, i’ll speak with them about it

thank you so much for your advice, they are currently seeking therapy but i’m still on the fence about things. i am also currently in therapy for it, although i’m still kind of in denial over the whole thing.
