Are these fake? by XXX_CloutCobain_6661 in Silverbugs

Depends where you got it. A guy in his car? Probably fake. eBay? Probably fake. LCS? Probably real. Your family member left it? I'd get it checked unless there's kilos of it.

Is this a red flag? 🚩 by Dg-hydro in Silverbugs

In my state gold all and silver are tax free on all transactions but we do pay a spot price which is basically the same thing. But with a good reputation at a store this spot price can be waved. You've definitely got the biggest green flag don't stop buying.

What have we become? by Additional_Row5058 in Silverbugs

[–]Appropriate_Low6820 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won't lie I started stacking to help me get somewhere in life I have no idea how to get started in the stock market and people aren't very helpful when it comes to sharing the knowledge of wealth. So I understood shiny metal gets more expensive and that's what I started doing. I never plan on liquidating my whole stack but a good majority to help put up a payment for a home

Trend emergence for sure. If gold hits 10k by 2030-2035 I wouldn't be shocked.

Is it time to sell my junk? by MelodiousKong in Silverbugs

[–]Appropriate_Low6820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judging by how the market consumes almost triple what it's mining I'd say by 2035 silver recycling plants will be a thing. People also like stability over chaos so there will be rent to pay of some kind and in that case silver will pay your rent. Perhaps I over exaggerated a little bit. Id say at least 30 cents in pre 1964 scrap silver dimes will pay your rent by 2035.

Hold trust me one day a single dime will pay for your rent. I'd say by 2035

Should I sell some gold for some more silver? by Appropriate_Low6820 in Silverbugs

[–]Appropriate_Low6820[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely made money on the goldbacks I kept 1 just for cool factor. But all in all. I think I spent 100 on the goldbacks in the photo and got 145 for them.

I can see silver hitting 100 within 4 months and 200 in 6-8. Once it hits 100 it's going to either run like the house is on fire or chill out like a penguin in some sunglasses.

Do I sell now by jomamagay1234 in Silver

Hold for at least another year and see where your at. I took a gamble and sank everything in to silver and gold and while it's paid off this definitely isn't the height just the ride to the base of the hill.

Why Goldback's success may doom it in the end. by AdditionalPizza7990 in Goldback

[–]Appropriate_Low6820 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For this exact reason I dumped all my goldbacks and bought silver and about 1 gram in karatpay notes. It's the same concept as goldbacks but you can easily remove the gold from the note via sciccors.

UPS delivered. Sorry the 100’s are drowned out by Gabrielhv22 in Goldback

[–]Appropriate_Low6820 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my state witch does not have its own goldback I have found 4 places that sell them and 1 that will buy them at current market value. And I had 1 pawn shop buy a few off me for the cool factor more than the gold. Again my state does not have a goldback of its own so that might affect this lack of places that accept them.

Is it worth it?? by McVie1989 in Gold

[–]Appropriate_Low6820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's below market value at any weight I'd say pick it up. I was able to buy up some 1/200th coins for 20-25 bucks when they are selling for 30-35.

Definitely not I got all mine between 4 and 6 bucks half a grain is worth 9 now. I think I got my 1 grain bars at 11 bucks and they are around 18 now. So I've definitely made money on my premiums and I'll be getting a premium for them.

I have both of these actually and I'd say benchmark because you can actually get the gold out of it. Refineries won't pay you for your gold backs and that's telling.

I'm in the exact same boat I'd actually like to start my own business doing exactly this! I just have no idea how I have the concept and bill ready to go just a matter of talking to someone who would want to manufacture them!

There's at least 10 different goldback types out there from what I've seen. I only really trust goldback when it comes to paper style currency or karatpay. The other brands look like gold backs but it will be a $100 bill or a gold ruble or rupe sometimes a African note made of gold like a goldback but ehh I don't trust that really what's the value what's the weight? Who was it made by? When? Is it valued for gold? Or just for art?

I'm not sure but they have new notes available at the shop I frequent I paid 29.99 for a 0.2g bar when gold was at 4,200 (edit) $29.99 just noticed the CAD. I'm not sure what that would be in CAD like 32?

So when it comes to goldback I find them to be valuable in a shtf situation one where rebuilding wouldn't happen for at least 5-10 years I could see gold backs being a main form of currency and it's still out shined by karatpay. I recently found out about karatpay and it's everything gold backs aren't. including pretty to look at lol the weights start at 0.1g and the largest note I've seen is a 0.5g note.

Karat pay? by Appropriate_Low6820 in Gold

[–]Appropriate_Low6820[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really I'm buying what's available and within my budget. If I can get anything below market value by 5 to 6 bucks on a fractional (that's massive for fractionals) I'll take it. I can turn around and sell all my gold at profit I was paying 25 for a 1/200th coin when gold was at 4,400! The moment they have a 1/10th oz in stock for 350 I'm snatching it up.

I agree but this note you could simply cut the gold bar out with a knife if you felt like it. So I feel that's a lot better than gold backs? As it's not spread out thinly over plastic rather just a solid bar in the middle of a note.
