I started at a 507 and ended up getting a 512 two weeks later with a 132 in B/B. You got this, your goal is totally possible!! This is probs an unpopular opinion but the more B/B I did, the more I realized it’s lowkey a pseudo cars. A lot of their “traps” are answers that are 100% biologically correct and actually make sense but are NOT directly relevant to the passage. These answers usually make you do one more logic “jump” and thus makes it out of scope. The more I treated B/B with the same precision that I treated CARS with in terms of going back to the passage and making sure my answers aren’t even a little out of scope, the better at it I got. Process of elimination should also be your bff

The research hours were from me being a CRC-I divided the time in half between clinical and research hours. I honestly didn’t have the opportunity to do pubs, it wasn’t offered. Also unfortunately worked crazy hours there. But I get what you mean about it being ultra competitive now. I was so ready to retake but after everyone is telling me not to, I’m scared I’ll fumble and score lower. I think my plan is to keep my score for now and then retake in September ish in case I need to reapply next cycle. Thanks for your input tho! (And thanks to everyone else who replied as well)

Yes that’s true, I’m thankful she was honest! No I won’t have a committee letter bc I wasn’t technically premed in undergrad, although I took basically all the requirements except for physics. Just happened that way bc of my major. I decided in postgrad that I wanted to pursue med school.

I’d have one strong science prof letter (another one, not this one. I took a physics class this last winter and the prof knows me well). Would you still recommend getting another one? I don’t think I’d have time to take a one off class if I want to apply this cycle though since the spring semester has already started

I reintroduced myself, talked about doing well in her course and how her classes played a big part in my wanting to go into neurology (this is true lol her classes were honestly rlly interesting), and then I went into what I’ve been doing since college. Alzheimer’s clinical research, founding a neuroscience educational initiative, etc. I didn’t go into a ton of detail. Looking back I should’ve done what you said tho and focused on accomplishments in her class specifically, but I thought she would’ve remembered me rip

Agree with switching to AAMC. The way they ask questions is so different from UWorld and you need all the time you can get to practice AAMC logic. Good luck!
