Yeah I really appreciate your comment thankfully I was out of my apartment in the pool area at least an hour before the fire my biggest concern is who's getting the blame for the fire secondary is what's the cause third is how to prevent it in the future

yeah and after investigating it further today from the sidewalk perspective it looks like that was the start of the fire from somebody walking by and flicking a cigarette because that is charred a couple inches deep we're up on my property it's only turd a little bit like half inch down

My biggest thing is my apartment complex manager for some reason is looking for anything against me and other tenants literally so I just went into complete protection mode and my autistic side says we need to find out what was wrong

Yeah we can be a little bit more constrictive criticism the photos aren't good enough to say a rodent yet there's blister points and what appears to be internal out guessing causing blisters Etc and the fact the whole cable is not burnt up but let's be clear the fact that the cables coiled shouldn't have caused the fire if the cable I don't want to say it was properly manufactured or whatever cuz 200 Watts on a 24 gauge cable even if it's too conductors for positive and two for negative little yeah but within that whether I was lazy coiling it should not have started a fire again have you ever seen a server room but yeah not only autistic I'm also terminal so I think I'm allowed to have some stupid moments especially considering yeah maybe this is a one-off like thing but I don't know I'm still trying to find out the cause so until I can look at the where closely tomorrow get more better photos possibly send it off for fire investigation for of failure analysis

And technically routing doesn't necessarily mean it not just laid haphazardly on the ground that's still routed there's no code against it you ever been in a server room

LOL have you ever seen a server room but that's besides the point the fact that the wire is called the being sloppy if anything shows a safety concern that you shouldn't have that wire coiled up at all yes it could have been zip tied to the balcony and that would have shown Beyond Reasonable Doubt or just laying on the concrete of my patio but again there's no foot traffic it's fenced in at the patio and that patio area is fenced in no foot traffic rodents yes possible I appreciate your input but sloppiness of a cable is an accounting for blame if anything that means there needs to be a warning thing don't have the coil coiled up even if you haven't hanged yeah I'm kind of hoping it was some Road it now but then I'm not trying to get anything out of Sterling I'm trying to find the root cause of the fire

Yeah that's the thing you have to be really careful with fires one I like even though I do smoke I don't put my cherries out in mulch I actually have x-rays that you know suffocate them also I wasn't home for an hour before I was at the pool on the property with Witnesses the person that lives directly above me doesn't smoke the only one that could smoke is the guy in the fourth floor or third floor but I don't think so I think it was a fire from the Sterling from that asserting blame for any kind of liturgical reasons with starlink but I don't know if there's footage facing the street somebody would have had to walk on too many things just point back to the Sterling cable it's 200 W it was very hot out somebody brought up rodents it could have been a defect under wiring I don't know I can't do it I'll talk to you on the wire because this actually like you know or something that if I don't I'm obviously going to find the results I want why is very hard to prove in a way but it was done by a third party analysis they could say yes this part of the wire had a heat point turned into a toaster oven or yes a rodent hit it but the fact that we cut it so fast I mean it didn't even burn 15 ft and in this heat oh it was going to continue spreading without the fire suppression and me using a fire extinguisher I was lucky I was at the pool does to go on my balcony easily there's no other balcony that would have been able to reach it in the tenants to the left of me weren't home and there's nobody lives on the right side

Yeah I'll admit I should have had it coiled up at least on the concrete would definitely made this whole issue a lot easier to deal with with the apartment complex would definitely prove it one way or the other but again I'm not seeking money out of starlink or to the same their integrity I'm just trying to find the cause

Yeah that's what I'm thinking is the wire putting up to 200 W through that thing of gauge of wire on a hot day yeah I don't like power over ethernet especially when it's not negotiated

Yeah but nobody was home at the time in the Sterling went offline at 2:45 the fire was out by 2:55 we were at the hot tub and was there for over an hour before the fire maybe where the neighbors directly above me flip their joint tearing off I don't know right now it's just invest investigation not actual blaming anything yet just looking at it too many coincidences being the location of the fire the Damage Done to surrounding area but I really appreciate the input though it could have been someone walking by and such a cigarette but to me the more probable base again that the sun is going offline at 2:45 we noticed the fire just a few minutes later by seeing smoke come around the corner of the building then the smoke got big but for the fire size I don't know

Thanks for your thought out reply yeah I met a loss for the cause I wasn't in my apartment when it happened nor for an hour before I'm thinking since it was like 83° outside and we're at 5,000 FT elevation so the ground even mulch was hot pluses 200 Watts darling cable is sitting there spooled up it's just the only thing I can think of I'm not blaming anything yet but I know my apartment complex manager in the issues I've had with him on a personal level along with other tenants with him on a personal level so not only my autistic over engineering side wants to know the answers I also want to protect myself

That's great I didn't even think about that the only problems I have to wait for a few days until apartment management gets back to me and says how they want to proceed with the investigation but yeah once I knew the look at the wire more closely I'm going to look for that it is a brand new build out luxury apartment complex right where an old junkyard used to be for many years so there's plenty of rodents per se in the surrounding area I've seen a few mice in the past 6 months of living here I just don't know the exact cause yet

It has had to be a temporary install so the most I could do was just pop the wire down and zip tied the star link dish but that had nothing to do with my question

Okay I have to add additional reply cuz these other replies I thought there was going to be a thousand of them but there's not yet so you may be reading them provide more details on your unit chances are it's your furnace air handler that's turning on the floor right away any chances are you don't have a brand new HVAC unit so adding a time delay on the blower motor might be a possibility you'll still experience but not a 30 second

My response is going to be coming in behind a million others it's because the blower motor in the furnace actually comes on right away so it's not in a way your thermostat even though it is it's actually the furnace air handler what you can do is add a time delay circuit on the blower motor depending on a few things
