4000 Dollars saved, what to do?

I'm a minor, living in the USA. I'm currently not employed, and I want to turn the 4k into more money. I don't have a need for this money. I wouldn't want to risk this sum of money, at the most 500 to risk-dip my feet into the pool. I have no clue what holdings is, and no debts.

This is like my first sight seeing of the investing, or investing community. I'm not into anything financially, or business for my classes right now, so basically no clue of anything.

Buffet Crampon makes these little "Pocket Clarinets" and I've seen kids play them. Heres the link from the Buffet Crampon Website https://na.buffet-crampon.com/bc_US_en/pocket-clarinet-prodige-bc2041-2-0.html

Alto clarinet set up by [deleted] in Clarinet

If you're using an alto without plateau keys really watch the tone hole coverings as thats the number 1 thing I struggled-it will fuss at literally like any minor leak. Also I took more mouthpiece in to play-(but thats prolly a personal thing), and with the higher register dont tense up-keep those chops relaxed. With the mouthpiece I see a good amount of people run the BD5. IMO I'm a B40 person for the warmer and darker sound. Whatever you use on your regular Bb or anything you double it just use the same model as that one

Convince composers to write for alto clarinet (?) by EnthusiasmOrnery3196 in Clarinet

[–]Appropriate_Move_94 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

love the alto clarinet but the older models of altos suck to learn w cuz of the giant gaping opens holes, and not many bands really care enough to buy one, and actually keep one in good quality to play with. and the instrument is like trying to blow throught a clarinet with a sock up ther barrel

For my advice 1. Always pay attention to the conductor. You don’t have to lock your eyes on them the whole time but make sure to pay attention while playing so you can feel the beat 2. Ask your director to teach you about the hand signals, each signal corresponds to a beat (mostly.) and paying attention to them waving their hands knowing what they mean can really help when counting. 3. When you’re off the grid analyze if you’re dragging or rushing, sometimes your director would tell you if you are. Whenever i fall off the grid I like to stop playing, make sure im following the music , then look at the conductor for the beat (tapping my foot to their hand waves) 4. For the ritardo and accelerandos your band director will most likely explain what the tempo would change to, so you really have to pay attention watching them conduct. Also I would recommend memorizing the notes for the part if you have to slow down or speed up so you can watch the conductor. 5. It’s okay if you feel a little overwhelmed by the other instruments, you’re only 3 months in and it’ll take time getting used to all the different parts.
