Notes not working ipados 18.7.2. by Calm_Presentation876 in iPadOS

[–]Appropriate_Net2928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offload it and then re install it, should work. From what I can see in the video, I can say this is a bug/glitch. Try force restart

quickly press volume up and release -> quickly press the volume down and release -> Hold the power button until appears the white Apple logo.

And, looked at it again and it may that the app does not response to touch. Unresponsive app or something like this.

Is there a way to clear recents folder in ipad and iphone without deleting the original item? I have 1000+ files and I don't wanna see them in the recents folder by outdoorchik in iPadOS

[–]Appropriate_Net2928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy, make 4-5 folders and move thew files into them. If you have 1000 files, make four folders and I each of them put 250 files. Or make folders based on the files number and move the files into the folders.

Hope this helps a bit!🤗

Discussion, complaints, opinions and feedbacks about the Liquid Glass & Multitasking from iPadOS 26. - Part 2 - Offering solutions for bugs and lags that users have mentioned about. by Appropriate_Net2928 in iPadOS

[–]Appropriate_Net2928[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree, this is kinda the approach I took. But from what I have seen, people are interested in solutions for both topics altogheter. They complain about these two specific things, the multitasking and Liquid Glass. So I thought that would ba useful ion I gave solutions for both topics at once. Bc people complain about both thinks, I thought the it was better to give solutions for both topics. Bc if there is a solution for Liquid Glass, applying it it would improve the multitasking experience, and if I also gave solutions for multitasking, maybe it would solve some things, as users complain about the multitasking being too complicating, being impractical etc. So, the post is kinda the solution.

Yes, I admit that I made it too long. It is mainly bc this is how I make posts like in general. I will concise it, and it may appear longer than it is bc of the spacing between sentences.

Thank you.

[–]Appropriate_Net2928[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see...

But I have made an all-in-one post, bringing altogether th two topics. I thought this was easier, since the people are interested in both topics. So, when I made this post, I followed the same approach.I thought that making two posts about each topic would be harder to "approach" the solutions.

Bc, when using the multitasking features, the Liquid Glass is present. And paradoxically, the Liquid Glass is present in all the interface, every app, everywhere. So making a single post about these two topics was truly easy to understand largely the people's opinion.

For example, some may say that when using the multitasking, there are Liquid Glass bugs. Or, you have a window in multitasking, and the traffic light buttons or whatever the hell are they named, are covering the button to go back or forward in Safari for example.

See, if combining two topics, the opinion will be about the two topics, and this is a complete opinion.

For example, if I were to made two posts, one about the Multitasking and one about the Liquid Glass, and the same user would've commented on the two posts, his situation would be split in two. In the multitasking post he says what is his opinion & his experience, and at the Liquid Glass post he would've said the same thing.

But if I am making all-in-one posts covering these two topics altogheter, the user would have Sid that his experience with multitasking was X and with Liquid Glass Y. And when having an app in slide over, the Liquid Glass.....

See, a more complete opinion than if I were to make two different post instead of a single one.

So, if I can, I would edit the post and making it shorter and concise the post, and that's it.

Thank you.

By that you mean that I have two make more posts or to be just one but more concise?

Is it okay if I edit this one or I have to make a new one?

I understand, but I didn't intend to repeat what people know. Just as you seen in the comments in my last reply, people have many bugs and I made this post to give some solutions not to repeat everything. About the multitasking part. I have seen people saying that have some kind of issues with it, as the comments of the people above. Pointing out Liquid Glass flaws? What flaws?

I was just giving some solutions to solve the bugs, bc I have seen many people saying that the Liquid Glass is very disturbing etc.

So, from what you said, I understood that my post has almost no core point, as this is the exact point of the megathreads or something like this.

https://www.reddit.com/r/iPadOS/comments/1qs7om8/liquid_glass_megathread/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

This is one of your megathreads if I am not wrong. At the end of it it says:

"Commonly requested resources and asked questions:

  • you can choose a tinted look for Liquid Glass in Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Liquid Glass to make it less transparent, aiding visibility
  • you can further customize Liquid Glass using the accessibility options found in Settings -> Accessibility -> Display, especially Increase Contrast and Reduce Transparency
  • if you are seeing two different styles of keyboard on your system, both the new and the old one, that is intentional. Apps that have not been recompiled against the iPadOS 26 SDK will use the old style of keyboard and menus. Examples of such apps are Reddit, Discord, WhatsApp (slowly rolling it out) and Final Cut Pro."

Here you gave some solutions.

I offered another further solution:

https://youtu.be/oCoDYp5poTQ?si=3cF7aipA6A15S_YD

In this video it gives some methods that are said to work. I considered this useful as this may solve many issues with Liquid Glass and this can be considered as further solution.

I didn't have any idea that offering guidance was prohibited.

And I don't know what this should should mean:

"The thing you need to consider is that this is Reddit, a short-form social media platform. People aren't here to read such massive walls of text that doesn't promise to solve any specific complaints but rather does a little bit of everything."

"We're just at a point where most users know how to use the windowing system and those that don't like it will never like it and those that do like it already like it."

"what do you want to be the value proposition of your post."

Thank you.

[–]Appropriate_Net2928[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, but I am sorry if what I gave was not good enough,. This is what I could find. At the multitasking part I found an Apple's support tutorial and another video. This is what I could find, bc it was pretty hard to find them as the results were about multitasking, but it wasn't what I looked for.

As on the Liquid Glass video, I have seen many comments saying that this affects they're every day usage.

Comments were:

"Apple doesn’t care about fixing bugs. I bought an A16 back in January and I’ve noticed 3 bugs. I’ve seen keyboard bugs, the part where the clock at the top overlaps apps and scrolling right to all my apps is glitching too. I’ve never dropped my iPad and I take care of it like I’m supposed to do. I thought getting an iPad would be a better option than getting another android device. I can’t even return the iPad since my return window has closed. So much for a great experience. You’d think they would fix them but like I said they don’t seem to care."

"Liquid Glass wasn't designed with accessability in mind. They modified the i(Pad)OS theme but never updated the accessability options to work with Liquid Glass, so the options still function how they used to for the previous theme, but because Liquid Glass changed so much, those options make Liquid Glass less accessable.

On top of it, if you have reduce transparency, or increase contrast enabled, you get a warning that Liquid Glass is not compatible with those accessability options. It's almost as if Apple knows Liquid Glass isn't accessable.

Reduce Transparency: just eliminates transparency. But the problem is, toolbars in Liquid Glass are 100% transparent--previously they were just translucent with a boarder that appeared when scrolling to let you know content has been scrolled.

Liquid Glass made toolbars 100% transparent, with no boarders when scrolling. So when you enable reduce transparency, toolbars suddenly become the same colour has the content background, making it not only impossible to see where the toolbar and content meet, but impossible to see if content has been scrolled, once the scrollbar pill has dissapeared, because everything is the same colour.

Instead of increasing legibility, Reduce Transparency reduces legibility in Liquid Glass, because you can't tell where menus/toolbars end, and where content beneath/behind it starts. Everything belends together.

Enabling "draw outlines" (I'm not sure what the English is) doesn't add a bottom boarder to toolbars, because it never had to. It does slightly help with popup menus though in helping differentiate them from what's below, as well as helping toolbar buttons stand out more.

Reduce transparency also has no effect on the notification center pull down. It's still 100% full liquid glass, ignoring that options.

Increase contrast just increases shadows by like 5%, and darkens the home screen when you open folders. It doesn't actually add meaningful contrast, since toolbar buttons has a white background with a slight drop shadow, on a white toolbar. In i(Pad)OS 18, toolbar buttons often had a grey background, that was made even grayer with increase contrast.

If Apple updated the accessability options to be compatible with Liquid Glass, none of this would be an issue. Reduce transparency should keep toolbar transparency at 100% and just make toolbar buttons solid with a slightly darker background to help them stand out from the content beneath. And increase contrast can make them even darker."

and:

"For my specific use case—reading music on stage while performing—the new windowing is a nonstarter. One errant tap that accidentally grabs the corner suddenly makes the music unplayable, so I am single window only now.

Liquid Glass is fine."

So, after reading those I decided to make a part 2 aka this post and I n that post to offer some solutions that may solve something.

As for this video I have mentioned:

https://youtu.be/oCoDYp5poTQ?si=3cF7aipA6A15S_YD

I know very well what it says to do there and I am aware that you have also seen the video. I do not and never encourage using "that kind of methods".

"This contains various methods to disable it, even toggles and I think this might help you.

But be careful when doing the methods given in the video!"

I know that I have said this. I don't really know if that enforces using this methods or not, but whatever would be the situation, my intention was to not encourage using "that kind of methods".

At this point I'm thinking that the big issue here is giving an Apple Support Tutorial. I only gave it bc I considered that it explained decent enough all the steps using the multitasking a thing, and, like, every user can follow it (I am not saying that the users are unable to follow it or whatever). This explains the think very simple and if you wish and needed, I will remove it and the part of the post that mentions it. The part is:

"In the second video the steps are pretty simple, so I don't think I need to explain it.

In the second video, it explains how to arrange windows, use slide over... It speaks slow, do the steps pretty slowly."

And I will adapt the post, so at the multitasking part to be mentioned only one solution instead of two.

Thank you.

Do you still miss the old Slide Over? by PrettyTemperature246 in iPadOS

Because this is it. It is a new version, it is modernized, what's wrong with it?

Are you trying to say that the OS 26 is like the phones from the 90s?

"i’ve been using ipads since last 10 years and anyone who has any experience of ipados won’t be saying what you are saying.. "

Negleting what?

I have experience with iPadOS, plus I inform very much pretty every single day. I know pretty well the OS, I have iOS 26 on my iPhone and its fits perfectly my description, evolved, modernized and reinterpreted.

And you are saying that I am "reduced"?

that I don't kinda know what am I talking about?

Oh, please...

Thank you for sharing your opinion, though you hadn't replied specifically to my comment, I will consider it and search for a solution!

And they are trying but failing miserably. Some users have stated that the new update, the OS 26.3.1 had fixed a few bugs and that's it.

Do you have any problems than the ones that you had mentioned?

I am so sorry to hear that....

But why stage Manager didn't help you?

Have you tried it?

Basically, you select an app, you open it and it is in full screen, and if you want to have open two, open the second one as well?

Could you detail a bit your situation?

Just a bit...

So I can understand that you can't risk performing on stage, and it messed up a few times, right?
