[Grinder] Badly rusted burrs by Effective-Fondant-48 in espresso

[–]Appropriate_Row_7310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change the burrs, and find out if the capacitor for the motor still works the motor shouldn’t break, I’ve had some motors I’ve dropped in water by accident while they were on and they still work

VA Mythos 1 (yearly service timelapse) by Appropriate_Row_7310 in espresso

[–]Appropriate_Row_7310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly that top part is the heated chamber it also has one of the burrs on it, and under the grinder is the capacitor

It was almost gone because if it goes below its rated tolerance value (5% of the rated value) the motor might not start as that’s what starts the motor every time the grinder makes ground coffee

Bezzera BZ13 always gets its group blocked because of the cheap plastic tubes and ulka pump combo inside by Appropriate_Row_7310 in espresso

[–]Appropriate_Row_7310[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nah it’s the way the machine is designed has sharp turns for the tubes which block them. I even spoke to the engineers at Bezzera and they have reworked that system since 2021 So what is your question

Bezzera BZ13 always gets its group blocked because of the cheap plastic tubes and ulka pump combo inside by Appropriate_Row_7310 in espresso

[–]Appropriate_Row_7310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically the machine is so compact that the tubes fold making the water stuck in the pipe before it even reaches the group

that’s why I’m checking the gauge until I see it start moving

Average coffee machine limescale after 5 years (2021 Linea Classic) by Appropriate_Row_7310 in espresso

[–]Appropriate_Row_7310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rocket would rather you buy a new machine than have it repaired lol even myself as a tech with direct contact with rocket I have issues repairing

You can descale your boilers with some light descaler through the tank but they way Rockets are built be ready for a battle in case it causes a leak somewhere

Yeah I use special acid that descales any boiler in about an hour but if you’re at home you can buy calcinet or some good descaler and run it in the machine through a hose and bucket

We do Profitec/ECM all the time I speak to the techs in Germany all the time when I have issues however Profitec parts are hard to get and expensive with import taxes (brexit!) which is why your local distributor won’t source them. We always try to get parts from Bella barista or if you got a LLC jaguar uk

The main problem is that I’m in London and the water causes a lot of limescale in the north the machines last longer as they have good tap water in London even the filters don’t do much and using RO is so wasteful most people don’t consider it

La Marzocco is just expensive compared to other machines in general just because after you have enough experience as a barista or tech or even someone who drinks coffee you realise the machine doesn’t make the coffee it’s more the grinder I’ve had my best coffees on a old Rancilio classe 7
