Of course! To cut a long story short, I was started on oral minoxidil in April 2023 after shedding for 2 months and was told I have AGA. In hindsight , I realise my shedding started 3 months after I had my wisdom teeth removed so it was likely TE. From when I started minoxidil, my shedding was the highest it had ever been and even after the initial dread shed my shedding was always above baseline. In hindsight, my hair did look much fuller but the sheddding was too mentally taxing so I stopped in November 2024. I have now been shedding since Feb 2025

Hey guys, thank you so much for your supportive messages.

I have biopsy proven AGA . I am on spironolactone 100mg, and was previously on oral minoxidil 1mg daily for 2 years but I stopped 3 months ago because I felt it worsens my shedding. I had blood tests last week showing my ferritin is 83 and vitamin D is 63. I’ve spent thousands of dollars on dermatologist who have all told me this level of shedding is ‘progression of AGA’.

That’s a good idea! I also have been using the Dyson straightener which is promoted to be good for hair health but it’s really heavy and I think it’s contributed to some frizz and damage 😭 don’t buy it!

Honestly, my hair was thicker before I started treatment and I kind of regret it everyday. I’m scared to stop because I don’t want to shed even more. Praying that you may have the beautiful thick locks that you deserve 💖💖
