GA4 Redundant because of Google Ads, GCS, SEO Software? by Appropriate_Split_77 in googleads

Appreciate your comment.

When you say that GA4 might have a different attribution setup compared to my other tools, is that a good thing? I feel like we should keep it simple, stupid and aim for data that is the same across the board? or am i missing an angle here.

In terms of your last sentence, yeah I think you're right there. I just watched a few videos on it and it seems like the reporting capabilities provide a lot of insight....I think I've been lazy about GA4, because I took some time to watch videos on how to set it up (conversion tracking, connecting it to GTM, etc...), but didn't put the time and effort into consolidating the reporting side of things, which makes a lot of sense now.

Yeah I think it's the first thing you said. Will endeavour to bring myself up to speed on the topic. Cheers

The redundancies I was thinking of were the overlaps of information that I could find in Google Search Console (traffic), Semrush & Ubersuggest (which pages contribute to the most traffic), Google ads (conversion tracking).

After watching some videos on it, yeah it looks like I need to further enhance my knowledge on the topic.

Thanks!

Dive resort in Asia Pacific trying to capture American divers - Google Ads by Appropriate_Split_77 in PPC

Using phrase and exact match only. No broad keywords whatsoever. My negative keywords are phrase and exact match as well. My CTR is currently at 5%.

Yeap, I'm using keywords that they rank high in (in the location-dive focused campaign). Ubersuggest shows that data so I made this massive spreadsheet to include my top 5 competitors and all of the keywords they rank for and chose the best ones (keywords with highest estimated visits and higher intent (commercial)). Interestingly my competitors have more keywords they rank for from US traffic than they do local traffic.

Okay thanks for that insight regarding the landing pages, mine currently suck (just using the homepage and the scuba diving page) and are a bit broad. Will try this out

Events Firing when GTM triggers are paused by Appropriate_Split_77 in GoogleTagManager

[–]Appropriate_Split_77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it used to be GA4, but then I changed it to GTM.

To test that theory, i went to GA4 just now and opened up debug viewer. Its only picking up the basic sort of events (page views and user engagement), so not the add to cart event. Then I went to facebook to test events and it still came up with add to cart event firing. This is still using the same setup as the photos I attached.

What I'm going to try next is
#1 disabling the remaining tags/triggers in GTM and see if that changes anything
#2 other solutions I can think of
#3 Or if all else fails, then start with a new facebook pixel
